CALVINFOONG 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2021 Hi guys, Just wondering if someone can explain this alignment sheet to me. The front axle camber and caster is normal? Thanks
aja540i 1906 Report post Posted August 7, 2021 The numbers in the middle column are what they are aiming for, first number is the perfect number, second is the acceptable range either side of perfect. Green means it is within that range, red means it is not. I can't tell you if those numbers are "normal" for your car, but they are outside the manufacturers recommended range! NZ00Z3 187 Report post Posted August 7, 2021 Your photo does not show the alignment spec that they used. Was it correct for your car? Both of my Z3's are built the same, yet there are 3 different alignment spec's that have been used on them over the years. It all comes down to the tech's ability to pick the correct spec. M3AN 4016 Report post Posted August 8, 2021 Regardless of what spec they used the last column is an absolute number so safe to read. You can't do anything about front caster (without adjustable plates) and caster is also a product of camber (i.e. it will change as camber changes). You have positive front camber which, whilst not "bad" (in small amounts such as here), it's not considered ideal for a car that needs to go around corners. Dialling in a little -ve camber should be easy, I'd want to know why they couldn't/didn't do that.
