Stubborn brake hoses

Recommended Posts

Fronts on an E36. Usually I don't have an issue, but someone seems to have done them up so tight that they feel they are going to round before breaking loose. Doesn't help that access is a bit sh1t for larger tools. Have tried open ended wrenches and my flare nut wrench set (it skipped). Would prefer to undo at the brake line nut as I'm biffing the calipers (and the hoses after this). Any suggestions? Thanks

Brake line ring spanner, has cut out, which is one flat of hex, to clear brake line.

Tried that. It just slips on the nut and will round it. Maybe my kit sucks.

I've found that with the supercheap auto brake spanners they skip. But my regular teng spanners don't have that issue.

Bought one thanks. Will see if it's better.
