Gus 5 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 v happy with slotted discs and stock pads...no brake fade after 4-5 laps, braking from ~190k at the 50m mark or so. new mod: 4.10 small case open diff. i love open diffs. re thinking engine plans, was v happy with sundays performance...possibly a 2.8/2.9L stroker. Carl 3 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 stock pads...no brake fade after 4-5 laps, braking from ~190k at the 50m mark or so.That's some fairly impressive braking on stock pads
Gus 5 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 i should prob be a little more conservative a couple laps braking at 50m mark, then the rest prob in between 50 and 80m.

nz320i 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 hey man what kinda things does the car do with the rear strut brace, ie is it worth it for body roll etc? Cheers
Silver Fox 43 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 Better off throwing your cash at the suspension, shocks and springs to help with body roll.

Gus 5 Report post Posted October 11, 2006 well have decided to sell the ACS's. put em on a for a bit but i just prefer the weaves. im sick i know. they did look good, but weaves rule. got a dogleg to go in too, looking forward to putting that in. a small case 3.2LSD as well if the 64 is a little high. back to normal sports seats...heaven! am re making the fibreglass bonnet, sexy as my first one was haha. just developing what i need and want..will look a lot better than originally planned. do it once and do it right! 2.7 will come under way with more time/$$. building up a tool collection too..managed to get piston rings off a piston without breaking... a landmark for gus! may need a new set o pistons though. my bad. mtech 2 wing is on and has been for a while. running with no sub as properly amped speakers are the win. and i can fit my bike in the boot everyday. when sell the ACS wheels will prob buy another set of weaves (new) and get race rubber for these wheels. am aiming to race at the taupo sprints next year. once its sorted enough can whack a cage in and do some small targas..thats still a wee while away though. investigating the possibility of a cheap respray...will see what comes up if i do targa or similar will make a fibreglass replica of the mtech 2 front..my bonnet can fold in half and fit in car...if i can make it that flexible woudl be great as i wouldnt mind it getting ruined on targa stages, plus will give a lot more. paint it matt black haha thats all for today, a wee update to procrastinate doing uni stuff!
