Hi All,

I'm working on an N52 swap for my E30.  It seemed like a good idea when the headgasket blew in the M20.

Is there anyone with a stock E30 in the Rotorua area that wouldn't mind if I took a few measurements?  There are a few things that I wish I'd worked out before I sold the original engine.

DM me if you want. I live in Rotorua and have an E30. Keen to see what you've done with the conversion as well.

I don’t know of any others, I’d be very keen to hear from anyone else trying though. It’s not a perfectly straightforward swap, especially in the right hand drive chassis.

I’m looking to work out the exact orientation of the engine in the chassis. The diff input and centre support bearing are off centre and I’m not sure if the crank is also off centre or if something is angled to allow for this. I’ve experimented a bit but it’s doing my head in.

This is a cool swap, n52s go great especially the b30s. Have you seen the velocity stacks people are running in the states? Could be quite cool. They’re running them entirely off of valvetronic with no intake manifold or throttle body just velocity stacks straight off the side of the head, probably terrible for IATs but looks and sounds really good
