AC Schnitzer 330i e90 question.

Hi all, new here and just looking for some buying advice.

Looking at buying a e90 platform daily and came across a 330i 2006 with a AC Schnitzer kit. I've looked online and couldn't find anything to say if this variant came with a tune or just a body kit. Also when I go to view the car is there anyway to prove the kit is genuine?

Tossing up between this car or a e92 2011 325i, what would be the better option for a student on a budget dead set on a BMW?

heaps of jap imports get bits added to them 

nothing special , just a body kit etc 

you could buy those parts from bmw dealers back in the day etc

You can use a BMW vin checker like ths one, https://www.mdecoder.com/ to see what options the car came from the factory with. This wont tell you what a dealer may have installed, and as mentioned by Brent, it could just be a body kit.

Personally I would get the 3l over the 2.5, there is only a minor errect on fuel economy but noticeably better power.

'06 330i will have N52 engine which is more reliable than the N53 in the facelift E92 (injectors and NOX sensors go wrong)
