Driftit 2184 Report post Posted Tuesday at 12:57 AM (edited) This is quite a crap change about to take place. I have actually benefited from the BPC program quite a bit since it has been running. It is when you Buy something and within 14days that item then goes on sale you get the difference credited to your account. As Supercheap has sales nearly as often as Briscoes it resulted in a bit of credit on the account each time I went in. e.g. You buy oil at $100. Sale is 50% off the following weekend. You get $50 added to your account. They are ditching BPC and going to a crappy $5 credit for every $100 spent. Quote From 1 July 2025, we’ll be updating our Supercheap Auto Club terms & conditions: ‘Spend & Get’ will be added ‘Best Price Credit’ will be retired Spend & Get From 1 July 2025, for every $100 you spend on eligible purchases, you’ll get $5 credit applied to your account. This credit will have an expiry period of 28 days. Spend & Get can be accrued over multiple eligible purchases made in-store and online each calendar year. Retiring Best Price Credit Best Price Credit (BPC) will be retired as a Club benefit. BPC will continue for eligible purchases made in-store and online until 30 June 2025. For example, if you make a purchase before or on 30 June 2025 and the product goes on sale within 14 days, we’ll still credit you with the difference for you to use within 28 days. Any BPC credit you previously received will continue to be available until it is either used or has reached its 28-day expiry – whichever comes first. Vass 1029 Report post Posted Tuesday at 01:13 AM Yeah that's well sh*t, they sent out a survey a while ago asking for opinions on such a proposed change, I spoke out against it back then too, but obviously to no avail. The BPC was one of those awesome perks that endeared me to SCA when I first started using them back in the day. Have had a few instances of buying stuff I needed just a day or two before the same stuff becoming discounted. Felt awesome getting credit for it, would have otherwise felt a bit cheated. Shame it's getting scrapped. Wouldn't mind the Spend & Get thing as much if it weren't for the 28 day expiry period, that's awfully off-putting. Eagle 1759 Report post Posted Tuesday at 06:29 AM Only really used it back in the day when their prices were noticeably cheaper than Repco with different\better products. Now days their stuff is largely average quality at best, specials arent even that great besides oil (which can be stocked up and goes on sale plenty) and everything priced the same as Repco, typical shareholder business model. Anything else you get cheaper at other local suppliers or overseas. Some of the markup these guy put on retail products is absurd, id rather support overseas companies directly than middlemen Australians.
