Very common situation. Unfortunately businesses or the customer don't usually want to wait so they overpay for the convivence.

Friends daughter had her Mitsi Mirage fuel line (rubber hose) cut. Can’t remember the exact number, but about $700 for a 30cm piece of hose. Was pointed out that they’d bought 3 new cars from them and the local Mitsi wrecker had one for $75. They fitted it for free and apologised.
