Ruby's replacement - a sneak preview

Recommended Posts

Guest Andrew

Bought this car 2 days ago.

It was in a pretty sad state.

4 bent ACS wheels. Half dead motor. f**ked cooling system. f**ked brakes. f**ked shift linkage. Wrong diff.

So last night - the speed restoral e30 team (Gus and I.. mainly Gus). Did this

A quick wash (it will get the full Andy treatment once i've finished modding it)

4 x badass black 15" weaves.

Replaced shifter

Added Limited Slip Diff (3.46)

Replaced all discs and pads

Wheel alignment

Ripped out old sounds install.

Added in thermostat - fixed rooted bypass valve (thanks heaps to Ernst at Bavarian Motors)

Finally the car is half decent to drive.

It's a 325 manual - Full Mtech2 kit. Black leather etc

Looking at an M50 this weekend to replace the stock motor. Will get full smoked. Euro plates on the way. Shadowline on the way. Full interior restore. Then it's finished - a decent daily driver.

And you can take it from me posting pics of my car in the work garage - that we sorted out the wee breakdown issue on the auckland motorway this morning.

Badass.

p.s I'm going straight from work to BMW CC club night.

4 bent ACS wheels.

I know your pain, not sure whether its cos they are a soft wheel or just becuase they are 20 years old and have seen a few km
