Very nice. I thought it was Montreal Blue in the first pic, but it looks to be the same colour as Pam's e36.

Nice car.

Congrats! Nice car, and I love the plate. Is it Techno Violet or some other colour?

*btw the exhaust looks slightly crooked.

yep Daytona Violet :D

The tailpipes are slightly offset, i.e. one is slightly shorter than the other one. It goes with the curve of the bumper.

Ah Daytona Violet :D It's a nice colour. In the pic the tips really look crooked (one up, one down, like a mount is loose or something) instead of just being staggered, I've never seen staggered tips give that effect. But maybe it's the angle at which the picture was taken.

Because I found the car earlier in the year here in Napier. My Father owns the M3 in the garage and Ive always been a fan. Anyway, what happened was that I was on the way to work and I spotted your M3 being pushed though some traffic lights as the battery had died, the car had the plates removed but had a dealer plate on the back. Turns out some legal issues (owners and stuff) was going down with the car and whoever was driving it was meant to be driving the car with no REG and WOF back to Auckland.

Once I got to work I walked back to check the car out (30 secs), no one was round it so I phoned my Father to tell him about (hes a car dealer) He ran the plates, got onto the owner and the story of the car, long story short the yard ended up buying the car and my Fathers mates Bruce Kirk (Auckland) who races classic cars bought it.

It is a nice car, rare as well being a 94 M3 with twin airbags

Does the car still have the Karamu plate Rego card holder in it?

How bizarre is that

Yes it still has the red holden dealer rego card holder in it, plus I spoke to Bruce Kirk before buying it off the guy in Taupo. It is a very nice example. Did a Lemon Check anyway just to make sure it was all okay, which it was - and it did detail something like you are referring to.

Thanks for the story - it fills in some of the history of the vehicle for me which is great :D:D
