danbullock 15 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 Hi, new member here. Does anyone know of this car? Are the m325i/2's really worth that much these days? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-71017357.htm
Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 Anything is only worth what someone will pay for it. To me, that is WAY overpriced, but someone will buy it, I guess. If I was looking to buy it, I wouldn't be interested in paying more than $5k. Its a 17 year old car - crikey!
Gus 5 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 haha 10k max if its mint? cant see much in photos..gear knob looks buggered
bravo 35 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 (edited) It's low kms and looks mint. i got $5500 for my similar condition 320i a month or so ago. This is a m325i (if it's genuine). I'd say $9k MAX. Edit: Beat me to it Gus. Yeah $7-10k depending on how it looks "in person". Edited September 20, 2006 by bravomikewhiskey
ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 Would that odometer be in miles? Very overpriced, i dont think i know anyone that would pay that much for an E30 non M3 no matter how mint it was......
BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 (edited) You could buy a cheapy non-compliant M3 for $16k! Even this..See! Edited September 20, 2006 by BMW POWER
Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted September 20, 2006 One thing that people unfamiliar with BMWs often fail to grasp is the difference between M3, M325, M316 (LOL) and just snap on body kits etc. An 'M' badge is as meaningless as an R badge on a Mitsi. isis 16 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 those prices are more like australian prices, esp if its an original 325iS... a bit crazy to pay 16g's here though...
bravo 35 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 An 'M' badge is as meaningless as an R badge on a Mitsi. Is that tongue in cheek Jazz. R badges go with Hondas. With Mitsi its RalliArt.
Palazzo 478 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 I don't think $12k is out of the question if it's mint and with 126kms, it should be. David had $12k on his 325 and nobody quibbled. Comparing it with a non compliant M3 is a self defeating argument, it's non compliant, so you can't drive it anywhere except the track. This car would make a great daily driver with a point of difference to most cars on the road.
M325is 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 He wants 16k not 12k, big difference. Can somebody tell me what the f**k this is...

Gus 5 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 haha tape holder its the aircon vents....not sure why they different on the motorsports david sold his 325 for around 10? and it was genuinely mint. 12 is not out of the question, but only if immaculate in my opinion true decider i suppose is the market, and it has not sold yet.. Palazzo 478 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 $12k. $16k. Whatever, everything is negotiable. Like Gus says, if it's mint, I don't see an issue, costs far more to get back to mint that it does to keep it there, what did Doug spend on paint alone for his? if I was in the market, I'd probably give it a crack. Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted September 22, 2006 s that tongue in cheek Jazz. R badges go with Hondas. With Mitsi its RalliArt. LOL - yep, I got told off for mentioning H**das here once, even though it wasn't derogatory at all, (really surprised me at the time) so I therefore never mention them again. Better safe than sorry....
danbullock 15 Report post Posted September 22, 2006 Thanks for the advice. One car I've always wanted since I was a teenager is a E30 M3 and the m325i is probably the closest i'll get to one. I am looking for a everyday car, and thought this might be allright. I'll go and have a look and see what his bottom dollar is. There is no way I'll pay 16k for it though. What are some of the things i should look out for on the e30? Rust, rattles knocks etc...
danbullock 15 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 Well the seller was a nob. Firm at 16k. The best I could offer was 13 as thats what I thought it was worth. He said a car dealer has already offered 15k for it. As I left I said "If a car dealer thinks its worth that much, let the car dealer have it". His reply"Oh he will, he'll be driving it tommorow". Nob. So if anyone knows of a 2 door e30 m325i/2 for sale with a price thats in todays reality, let me know.
tintop 10 Report post Posted September 27, 2006 LOL the only way a car dealer would give someone $15k for a non m3 e30 would be if they were trading it on a $100k + car haha
