bravo 35 Report post Posted October 3, 2006 (edited) If its what I think it is - why? For that money you could get a better handling and performing and looking car. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them, but IMO they do not represent good value. Commodore VE/VZ SS V8 at $63k rrp. Guest Andrew Report post Posted October 3, 2006 Emma takes the prize with Chris second. It is indeed a Suzuki Swift SPORT. I cannot believe how well it handles. So nice jumping in a BRAND spanking new car. Lots of mods from a standard swift http://www.suzuki.co.nz/auto/whatshot.html?featured=1 Will be keeping this for 2.5 - 3 years. E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted October 3, 2006 I was going to say a Mazda 3 MPS, but the swift is pretty kewl!! and so cheap!!
ThreeOneEight 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2006 Nice choice, a mate of mine has a Swift as well, goes really good for such a lil' car! I'm a fan of the new Polo GTI turbo, got plans for one when I graduate next year. White with plaid interior, and a sunroof. Sold.
Guest Andrew Report post Posted October 3, 2006 My criteria was 1.) Fun to drive + goes OK. 2.) Good on gas. 3.) Cheap to insure (Is 978/year full comp AMI) 4.) Looks kinda cool 5.) New I drove a mini this morning also - wasn't nearly as fast. Was also weighing up tow cars etc etc. But i'd end up getting an older car.
bravo 35 Report post Posted October 3, 2006 why buy new? It certainly doesn't make financial sense.
Guest Andrew Report post Posted October 3, 2006 why buy new? It certainly doesn't make financial sense. Why not - i might take a 10 k hit over 3 years. It's hardly a biggie. I get all the benefits of free service, roadside rescue, warrantee.
Guest Spargo Report post Posted October 3, 2006 They have tonnes of demo swifts for el cheapo at suzuki in greenlane.
ThreeOneEight 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2006 Agreed about the Ex-Demos, but most of them aren't GTi models- these are actually really in demand, and the supplier can't keep up. You won't sell it for a lot less than you paid Andrew, was probably one of the best new car purchases you could make...

Guest Andrew Report post Posted October 3, 2006 They have tonnes of demo swifts for el cheapo at suzuki in greenlane. You won't see a Sport on any yard soon. They sold the full NZ allocation in 2 weeks. More coming in 6 months. I'm quite happy to challenge any e30/car to a lonely track race
