drifty325i 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2006 (edited) \are you going to have detailed plans of engine and g box mounts (im sure there would be abit of interest in these)? if so post up Yip ill do a full spec list and details on it for yas. Ill take photos of all custom bits to what colour? Run a poll if you can't decide fancy brakes and diff? Im still using the standard cosmos blue but we are adding a few secret things to bring it up. Ive seen a demo and all i can say is whoa! its really an amazing paint, Brake wise i think a will upgrade to willwoods but not sure yet, my lsd diff will hold up fine, they are a very very strong diff from factory. Alot of 500hp turbo e30s still run standard diffs and they love it Edited October 17, 2006 by drifty325i

Palazzo 477 Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Nice work, I've often wished I could swap the motor for the day from my daily. '97 motor should already be good for 206kw+, so that's a good start.

drifty325i 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2006 rear unibody conversion? No plans for any major chassis reinforcement, there are alot of guys overseas running more power than i will be that still have the standardish setup . From talking to my installer the other night we have decided to run NA for a few months just to see how it handles the extra power and torque. Then the bolt on S/C conversion with low boost and go on from there. Hoping it wont need to much in the way of reinforcment
Gus 5 Report post Posted October 26, 2006 i was just playin exactly what i would do..give it a go and see how it fares...i can imagine the torque possibly killing the LSD, but the actual chassis itself should be fine a set of urethane suspension stuff though will probably be quite beneficial to reduce movement under power

I certainly will br freshing things up in the suspension in the rear and i may even get around to finally fitting my ajustable subframe bushes lol. they have been sitting there for ages
