Thanks Brent, I guess you missed Briefing when we were told no dive bombing or overtaking in braking areas, or corner entry? Race line for that corner is wide entry and hit the apex, I honestly didn't expect you to keep coming on your line. I apologise if you got a fright, but I don't believe you should have been there?

Well have been off line for a few weeks demoing the kitchen and dining room. It started out with just getting the kitchen replaced as it was an awesome 70s race car red. It had to go. We thought why not do the lounge while we are at it ... and hell even get the wooden floor freshened up because unfortunately it had suffered the hand of some bad DIY at some point. We have had a lot of help from various people over the past few weeks to name a few, Jamez, Westy & of course Brendon. And a few mates lending me a couple of tools. mmmm red kitchen before Gross arch way After Found horrible black mold behind the sink .. lucky it was only on the gib and not through to the other side or worse down into the floor boards. James pretty stoked with his sledge hammering

Hey guys, Have been lurking around for a while, but have now started what will be a long and slow project. I've got 2 e30 coupe shells, one a 323 that I'm stripping out to build a M3 replica rally car, but the choice of engine might upset a few purists. More on that later At this stage all we've stripped all the interior minus the dash out, pulled the engine and gearbox out, which is for sale if anyone wants a M20b23 with a manual box. Just working on researching brakes/suspension options. At this stage I'm looking at Escort Group 4 coilovers all corners, which will mean reinforcing the rear turrets and rear trailing arms. I'll start up a project thread once I get some better photos sorted. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good call. Heaps of cat6 and 8 or so power points behind the tv area. Always a good upgrade

I'd be lifting the front, grabbing the wheels and checking where the play is coming from, by the sound of those symptoms the problem should almost leap out and be fairly obvious having a good look while rocking a wheel.

Have had an old Escort suffer from tyre bulge, and I can assure you the vibration is speed sensitive and constant. Id've thought a sticking caliper would also cause the car to pull in the same direction as the dodgy brake? Steering box failing? Strut mount bearings failing? Loose adjuster on tie rod? (Lock nut loosening and retightening of its own accord, producing intermittent symptoms?) Redid CAB on my car a couple years back, felt more like a combination of warped rotors and unbalanced wheels. Again, symptoms were speed sensitive and always present. Sounds like a proper head scratcher man!!

Crate engine or not, for $30k there's no choice between an M5 or a 540i. Throwing that sort of money at an otherwise unremarkable production car makes no sense to me, unless it's restoring a classic. I understand why he's set his price at the level he has, but I'll be utterly astounded if it sells for anything more than 55% of asking. Mad!

You should turn that little room at the end into a scullery or walk in pantry keeping the kitchen minimalist. Laundry in garage if it is the laundry

Tyre bulge or delamination? Guess those would be more consistent. No heavy lumps of mud stuck inside the wheel? Had that before after some off road action.

Fantastic news! Lance from lvvt has come and approved all the work to date. So time to start getting all the panels welded into place. What they are or will be most concerned about, is the rear window frame to the B pillar and welds for the doors to be closed, so the next time he comes around, hopefully will be to cert the ute
