Hey chaps, Joining the BMW crowd this time. Will be picking up my car on Friday so no pics to share yet. Have been lusting after a luxo-barge since I sold my XJ6 so hoping an E39 540 will fit the bill. Based in Whakatane, parts manager for the local Holden/Suzuki dealer. Have been a Subaru fanboy since the beginning but I think i've grown up a bit and would like some more sophisticated engineering. This will be my first daily driver in 8 years that isnt a Legacy. Not sure how I'm going to cope with the lack of AWD. Have owned a decent variety of 2nd cars and a couple of bikes. Drove an E46 318 for a few months and was severely annoyed by how good it was. Had been a member of Clubsub for years, am still active on oldschool and can occasionally be found in other corners of the internet. This should be interesting.

Replaced the trim behind the front plate. What a difference Just have to decide what to do with the stone chips on the bumper and the lip. Maybe a new lip or matte it .. Oh thanks to Brent for the part! Fast delivery. Also replaced the leaking washer bottle sensor. No more annoying fault codes on the OBC!

Righto. So far we have done - Subframe Reinforcement - Rocker Cover Gasket - Rear Diff Mount - New Rear shocks Next - Brake Pads - Oil Filter housing minor leak.. Maybe.. - Might change brake fluid so car is track ready. All thanks to the awesome team at HellBM. And I was fortunate enough that once the years of caked on dust was removed, to discover ACS did a neat suspension job on my car too - thanks guys, here I thought it was only kitted.

I bought one like this on TM (not off this guy), and its been really good. Done lots of ali and stainless very good. There are a mulitue of this type of AC/DC Tig MMA plasma units called "200P" - all the same thing made in china in different cases, and there are other models too from the same manufacturer just different specs. It works really well i lke having the pre post flow, foot switch, pulse mode to get those "stack of dimes" looking welds. I ve bought a supergas argon bottle, dont go disposable bottles. http://ezitoolswelding.co.nz/products/tig-200p-acdc/ The thing ive never had before is the plasma torch.... Mother of TROY thats fun!! its like owning a light saber!! Ohhh the hours ive spent hack sawing steel in the vice.. eeee ooor eee ooor eee ooor [change hands] eee ooor eee ooor.... now its whisssssssssst, clunk, done.

Us girls can do a great job at Puke thanks. Perhaps you mean that Puke isn't for the light hearted. It's great fun though! Almost one of my favourite tracks.
