Thanks to all the info that shared by people on this forum ( fingers crossed) the shudder in my 130i has been fixed without going down the route of "red herring" etc. Symptoms were; no issues when engine cold but once engine warm, then under light load (and say 1750 rpm moving to 2000rpm i.e. -going from say 80km - 100km I would get a shudder as the gear box changed up ( but totally of if using the sports mode with higher revs). Transmission (GM) has been serviced and so-far the shudder gone

Accurate around here. They are like the BA Falcon for people slightly more sophisticated. There is a guy with a white one around the corner who has just done a "burble tune" and he floors it up our road a few time a week, my wife said she was going to leave me for him because she loves seeing a car spin one wheel up a incline in the wet and wishes I would be more like him. I told her I can only dream of being in a position to finance a 20 year old BMW and remap it and I am working really hard to achieve that goad before 2025. Watch this space, its public now so no excuses.

That's exactly what I did too. A few of them the plastic itself snapped so I 'unsoldered' the ones off my original and plastic welded them onto the new one.

Time for the yearly TLC for the ‘vert whilst the weather is not so flash On this year’s list a bit of panel and paint for a few bits and pieces - bonnet (to remove the dent in he middle where it fell on the battery charger 🤬), boot, high stop lamp and the Tech I spoiler insert. Also pulled the rear bumper off to give it a good clean and check behind it. Had a bit of a panic when I saw what I thought was some serious rust in the bottom left corner of the boot when I took the bumper off. Turned out to be rust from something that had been stored in there and got wet, stuck in some waxy gunk. Came off when I gave it a vigorous clean and picked at it with a plastic scraper - phew! Also found a Travis CD stuck in the boot when I took the stacker out..
