    E34 Rear Seats

Have a good look under the seat in case Brent stashed any loot!!!!!
  2. It's not maybe so, if you exceed the design parameters thats what you get. Late 80's, early 90's most testing for head on crash was square frontal at 50 km, BMW's testing did the offset frontal and increased the speed to 56km. This dramatically increased the load, the E36 passed at this level which was above what was required by the law of the time. Compare a car manufactured of similar year and it wil fare even worse, i know, i have a BMW crash test video tape showing all this. My E34 was the best car in an offset crash in 1988 @ 56km, crash it at higher OFFSET and it wouldn't pass today.
  3. No surprise because when the E36 was released in the early 90's the offset test would have been lower at 56km.
  4. Thanks for that, a few good pix if you can get the camera in that engine bay.(take out that twin cam engine & send it up here) No, you wouldn't touch the M headers they fitted, just curious how they look/fit.( i assume they fitted right drive headers)People always say the Remus gives a good sound, don't know.
  5. Hi Grant, sorry don't know the answer. Thats why they call me Mr E34, had too many of the same car!The E34 bay is a bit tight around the steering box & rear firewall so the headers are not a perfect equal length. They look nice in the engine bay & act as a good heatsink for the head to absorb/radiate heat off the head to reduce heat hot spots. Maybe someone on bimmer will know, they can have a look at the pictures i have posted. What are the headers like on your right drive M5?? Are you able to take any sort of pictures and post as a reply? Thanks.

    Not a new car

Must go well with that modern 3ltr engine, let everyone know your honest thoughts on the E46 after your travels.
  7. E34's are very reliable, good body, good electrics, my experience. M20 2.5ltr good on gas, av 25mpg+. Never owned twin cam 2.5ltr so can't comment. M30 3.5ltr dreaming to get 25-26 mpg av, 20mpg mixed driving, round town under 20 mpg. The old ZF 4 speed auto was very reliable. (not talking about later model with 3 sw modes) Wouldn't worry about auto, maybe manual if you get probs.
  8. Yeah, i would get a pre-purchase inspection done & go from there.
  9. Welcome Miss E46. MR E34. how did the E34 shots come out?
  10. I remember about 10yrs ago i looked at a 3.6ltr, the onr was selling because he had imported a 3.8ltr.Didn't see the 3.8 so only going on what he said.
  11. Another view of Headers with full stainless exhaust system compared to original E34 M30 exhaust.(overseas 535is) :D (stock cast manifold & first section enlarged/ported)
  12. 15-20k engine rebuild. 3.6 supposed to be rugged compared to 3.8, i only check UK prices & they are priced low due to mileage/costs of rebuilds etc etc. Most NZ new still have modest mileage by comparison.

    Audi port & polish

Ha Ha, brilliant.Would that work on the M30?
  14. Thanks Simon. Not worth listing on Trademe at this price because i am trying to reduce my overall cost so we all get headers at the same cost. It might not work out anyway, i will bring in my master set (at considerable cost) & just fit them to my old car & not worry about the $$$. My car is just a hobby/project.
  15. Maybe i can sell you a car with the headers! NEED LOTS OF LUCK. To be honest, the response is pathetic. I would have thought low priced stainless headers for the M30 would have a bit of interest, but it seems the headers are worth more than the car.
  16. AS THE TITLE SUGGESTS, RIGHT HAND DRIVE STAINLESS STEEL HEADERS AS FITTED TO M30 E34. PM ME FOR NEW ORDERS & PRICE APART FROM THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY CONTACTED ME, THANKS. MR E34.

    E34 M Art.
  18. We sent the V10 to Hartge for their 3 series installs, HartgeH50V10! Retuned to 550bhp @ 7750rpm.
  19. Forgot the torque printouts, probably between 315-320nm.
  20. Thanks Graham, the tuner out there seems pretty good.
  21. I think this is your next car Yuen???
  22. Thanks for the encouragement! Only will put on 6 branch stainless headers next, no internal engine mods unless i have to strip down the engine for unforseen probs. Expensive to build performance M30, 150kw is a lot. Sorry, i don't know anything about link ecu etc. Mr E34, Boris.
  23. I don't know, a chip is easier, just plug in.If you look at all the overseas tuning houses all top tuners reflash chips real time, fit piggy backs, or full ecu. Real time tuning is obviously the best because every engine build is different, fuel octane, engine wear & tear etc all characteristics taken care of.
