Na they are all imports mate
Thanks Drifty, I will try and find out

I think I saw an E39 centre woodgrain trim (the bit around the gearshift), I just cracked mine, if it is in preemo condition what is the price.
Also what sort of radio and nav is in that 5 series, I need a NZ tunable radio and non jap nav.

Great stuff Jochen. I am thinking of getting a no bells and wistles DVD with remote and mounting it where the front centre armrest is (remove the sliding armrest unit and manufacture a new armrest around the DVD).
Also I saw a post not that long ago where someone had spliced the DVD Audio output into the amp to give them stereo sound with movies, not too sure how it worked, I will see if I can find it.

Well done Jochen.
What sort of DVD player did you get ?, is this connected in thru the Tuner AV input ?

Thanks all for your replies, I hope to finalise this next week with insurance. The heart is ruling the head on this one, after 13 years ownership my little green 320 is part of the family, all the kids learnt to drive in it (some better than others) and now it is our pool car to get those short trips done and drive a manual to exercise the left leg.
If everything goes my way she will be back on the road in a couple of weeks, once I know what insurance company will do, I may follow up with those parts offers.

could take some pics if u like?
I'm looking at doing mine and would appreciate some pictures

Happened to me once, I cleared the temp files and cookies and it has not re-occured, I run google.

I have a NZ new 1986 manual E30/320 with 170,000 miles which I've owned for the last 13 years. Car drives really well, is still really tight, the body has a little rust (say $200 to fix).
My son ran up the backside of another car with a tow bar and the insurance company have written to me saying it is not economical to fix and will pay it's current value which is $1,500 less excess.
My first query is does this price sound right ?
My second is to get it back on the road it needs repairs to front panel, bumper, valance/spoiler. It will also need a replacement radiator or current one recored. Any idea of what the bumper, spoiler and radiator would cost. The panelbeater mentioned there are three different raditators for this model so need to make sure I get the right one ??
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

At the mileage just make sure you check the service history and have it checked over byu a BMW dealer, well worth the money given the cost of repairs. Good luck

Same chip is advertised for a legacy

Try Jochen he is the expert in these. If you do strip it I may be interested in the Amp as mine is playing up, what type of HU does it have.
-
You may have too try a few times as the timing needs to be spot on, let me know how you get on
-
Good price if the mileage is correct. Get it checked out by a Bimmer dealer as they are not cheap to fix.
Try the E39 part of this forum it has everything you have asked for... http://www.bimmerfest.com

I debadged the 540, it looks a lot more balanced with it off. I know it's a 540 and that's what counts, it also stops the cops paying too much attention.
