  5. My E30 1986 320i windscreen wipers do not work on the first settings they stop half way up the windsheild but they do work on the fast setting except when you stop them they come to a rest position where they were when you stopped them. Any ideas, stuffed wiper motor or something else ?
  6. They look great on my E39, appears quite cheap as well
  7. I am not too sure what it is called, it is the cylinder that holds the bonnet up/open on a 86 E30 and I need to get it regassed in Wellington, any suggestions ?

  9. To assist with my education, what does the SE suffix on 320 indicate, compared to i (injected) iS (injected sport) T (touring) D (Deisel), let me know if these are wrong.

  11. Agreed. Realistically we are the best advertisement a dealer can have, this forum alone entices numerous people to join the BMW world initially as used BMW owners but as desire generated by the forums and finances permit I am sure some convert to new BMW ownership. I would like to see the forum/car club and Shelleys work more closely together for the betterment of both.
  12. I look forward to the E39 promotion, bring it on.
  13. Attached is a reasonably comprehensive list of OBD II fault codes P_Codes.pdf
  14. On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit. Ferrari in Paris
  15. Jochen, I had a similar problem with my 540, the engine would surge at idle (a little tricky when in gear at the lights) and then a couple of times the engine just died when I stopped at lights. It appears to have cleared itself and hasn't done either for last few weeks but I will have a look at the ICV tomorrow and see what it is like
  16. Michael is Shelly planning any specials for the E39 V8 brigade
  17. Martyyn, Excuse my ignorancw but looking for a good honest service centre in Wellington, who are Pages
  18. Speed laser guns would luv it
  19. Is the mileage 28,500km as you have put or is there a "0" missing. I agree with the comments about the headers they look very badly home made and if you payed $2,000 then you were ripped off, or maybe this is where the missing "0" from the mileage ended up

    Parking

Boy this inspired dialogue, my view is the ticket was not issued in accordance with the road code but what is the legal definition of a fire hydrant ? My personal view is the council should rectify the ambiguity in signage and let you of the ticket.
