^^I'm liking those wheels My pedal box turned up, and the steering boss
-
et11= offset? If so they would stick outside the guards by about 10mm
-
Would you know the offset? I wonder if they will fit over the brakes?
-
Thats what I am hoping for- I wish I had those wheels, and also I'm going to use my turbo front bumper

I would like to say I sent hours working out the length of the inlet runners, but that would be just crap. The runners I cut out of a toyota beams manifold and thats how long they were.
-
Inlet manifold got welded up tonight, alot more work to be done on it- surface the faces, die grind the inside where the welds are. But I'm happy with the way its looking.
-
I brought a Tilton pedal box off trademe But it hasn't turned up yet I found this picture on the net and so this is going to be the new paint scheme for the 2002
-
Got on the piss after work so not much progress tonight. Did make a start on the inlet manifold- cut up a toyota beams inlet manifold to rob the runners out of it and drilled the holes for the side draft flange
-
Looks evil those wheels are mean

I dummy fitted the steering column off the E36. It looks like I need to use the standard E36 coupling and not the shortened one I made a few days ago. I'm not happy with the angles that the universal's are running at. I can't do much to the steering until my pedal box turns up.

Mounted the E36 Radiator after work today. Also put the rocker cover back on. I painted it with some VHT wrinkle plus and gave it a round oil cap to try and give it an old school look
-
I was told by a valve spring supplier to allow 3X boost pressure = back pressure on the exhaust valve. ie. 20psi boost = 60 psi exhaust pressure Anyone else heard of this, or was I just told a pile of poo

Got the rear gearbox mount done, shortened the gear selector by 150mm, welded in the hanger bearing mount, Made the new front half of the drive shaft.
-
Yes I did. And may still do that.

I have finished modifying the sump, so it was time to move onto the engine mounts. I needed to make to new mounts on the cross member as the standard mount holes were to close to the chassis rails. Also new mounts for the block were needed as well. The rubber engine mounts are for a skyline . In the second picture you can see the cut out in the sump so the engine could moved forward.

Thanks for the replies, I hope the certifier thinks its a good job

I hope you get some better news soon

A new toy arrived today (not the RC car) here are my first attempts at ali welding.

The factory E36 steering coupling is to long for the 2002 engine bay. I so made a shorter one out of two.
