  1. Ok, it's not the one at the top, it's under your rides. Thanks for the explanation guys, guess it lets you know where you are? Big brother is watching
  2. Warn: (java script:PopUp(%) Hey guys, who know's what this little addition is all about please? 5 strikes and you're out? Be nice to know thanks.
  3. Hill start assist, same as in my truck I assume? I find it very handy at the lights etc, just put it in neutral and press the brake pedal to apply the handbrake, then put it back in gear and wait for the lights to go green. No handbrake to release.
  4. I just bought in 1 cubic meter of parts from the states by sea, cost $350NZ. Get a lot of cams in 1 m3. Took 2 weeks.
  5. You forgot a couple of 13's for the steering coupling, remove the bolt completely, or you can't pull the rack off, and maybe a 19 for one of the power steering connections? Don't forget a decent sized container for the power steering fluid, messy stuff. You should use new washers when the power steering connections are bolted back up, notorious for leaking.
  6. Even a paper bag won't work for you Glenn.

    e36 diff

Look at all the cars running in the race series, E30's and open class. As far as I know, they all run BMW diffs, most open, but some open class run LSD's, and not one blown diff I can recall yet. Watch them launch from the start line, and I think you'll realise there's something wrong with your setup somewhere, you shouldn't be breaking them that often? ps, just remembered Conrad at Taupo, but look at his HP, and his driving style.
  8. Check it out on the carfax site first, seems to have an interesting past? Started life as a 323, NZ new though.
  9. Thanks Brent, great article, seems from reading that, the E34 will go into an E28 if you use Highline mounting brackets. Any idea what they are?
  10. My 2c, fuel pump relay not seated properly.
  11. Hi rxsumo, just the bare block, no head sump pistons etc, bare block only. Thanks.
  12. Can anyone tell me the differences, if any with the M30 block? It dates from the late 70's I think thru to the 90's. Ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 lt, is this achieved with the same block, and just crank and piston changes? Guess what I'd like to know, is it interchangeable from E34, to E32, to E28? My impression at the moment, is that it's the same block, Real oem numbers match. Thanks.
  13. Me too. Just make them a no comment listing with a pm link for contact and queries.
  14. I think, considering the beauty of your car, that you of all people should understand that the type of person who might be interested in your car, would see right through any unkind comments about the value and quality of said vehicle, it will sell itself on passion. I still think that lowering yourself to that level will gain you nothing, as this is a public forum, open to all kinds and opinions. Who's to say who's right and wrong in this?I, for one, think you're probably a bit hopeful as well, but you may sell it tomorrow, and then I'd be proved wrong. Oops, did I say that?
  15. I've found the best way to shut most people up is to ignore them. I would suggest that if his first comment had been dealt with that way, this thread would not have degenerated the way it has. Think about that for next time.
  16. C'mon guys, let the bone go. Neither of you are going to achieve anything from this and it's just one opinion against the other. Not worth the aggro IMHO. Good luck with the sale, nice car, but the market will dictate what it's worth and whether you sell it or not.
  17. Click on my username and one of the things on the list that drops down is to send me a message. That's a pm, or personal message. Click on that and send me your addy, that way no one else gets to see it. Cheers.
  18. Real good to hear Ken, pm me your address and I'll send you down the piece you need, got a few of them here. ps, you should tighten the head bolts another 25 degrees after half an hours running.
  19. Would suggest it's probably the front upper thrust and lower control arm bushings, need new ones, common thing, see this link. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7aq8e/id18.html
  20. The E30 318i never went to the States with the M40, it was way too powerful for them.
