Lower bolt had a couple of threads remaining before entire caliper was being held in by the brake line and wear sensor, then it would have got really interesting... He blamed his apprentice.
Your very lucky it was the top bolt that came out first, otherwise you could have ended up on the wrong side of the road playing dodgems. How is he now going to help you with this Chris ? Get in touch, I should be able to help you with this.

You could also have a talk to Joe @EuroSurgeon he will definitely be able to explain options to achieve your wishes

The compatibility of the components are most likely wrong, causing high temperatures and warping the discs. I suggest starting again using the right parts. This is why we only use ATE German components that won't give you problems.
BTW: The loose caliper had the potential to kill someone. Blue thread lock should have also been used.

M62 is a V8..M73 is a V12

This is why i have gone with the dry sump setup, if you have a look at the pictures i posted of the sump that i am getting, it makes for so much more room for sump clearance as there pretty much is no sump.
So in saying that Nathan this will allow me to mount the motor as low as possible which i'm hoping to give me a bit more room to make some decent exhaust headers. worst case make something similar to the s85 v10 manifolds
Christ... that picture reminds me of the rabbit I shot this morning with the magnum....intestines everywhere

All of the lollipop type bushes have alignment marks. If they don't, buy a better brand. Solids are better, however more work is involved fitting them and locking them into position. I've done heaps over the years. Been a while though

You can't in NZ Nathan. The inner guards are structural and support the strut mount. You would need an engineering report, design and certification for any modification

Oops... we need to get back on track and stop the unnecessary banter which could spoil this amazing thread and project. Apologies to Richard on my part .... carry on sir

The best quality tools have the distinctive smell of burnt roses.... it must be the metal. I always go for those tools... I've never been let down and some I have are over 30 years old

Fuel pressure regulators can also bleed off pressurized fuel directly into the intake manifold when the diaphragm goes in them through the vacuum hose

You must use high quality torx sockets when working on european motor vehicles and keep away from impact guns

It would be a lesser risk, however the higher risk is not getting someone who knows what they are doing carrying out the PPI. The second high risk factor is buying something you cannot afford to service & maintain over the period of ownership, and who you choose to maintain it.
Any experience with silverdale radiator products?
