  5. EASY!!!! i had a 25k limit and i brought a 95 m3 and took home some change LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! it goes, stops and steers perfectly
  6. cats?????? lol mine have been replaced with those turbo muflers this is the first ive heard of using a pump to swap inlet and exhaust sounds like someone in bmw was making a job for themselves designing things that dont need to be ----oh yay a low emission super car----- its all good today we had the hotest day this season that i could remember 16*c thanks
  7. well mr bmws got me scratching my head again i got sick of the noisy air-con pump/ idler so i flicked the belt off (i doesnt get warm enough to need it down here!) while i were under there i notticed a pump unit that looks like a aircon pump (with a clutch on the front an all) as fas as i can tell it pumps exhaust gases into the intake or vise versa the jappas use a steel pipe with a vacuum opperated valve on one end any one got any ideas? cheers jerm
  8. no i think the car has realy good taste lol i hadnt used it for about 2 months (waiting on bits) and it still liked the beema how ever since ive been using it i havnt seen him round big smiles all round!
  9. i cover it every night as it slides off the car in the morning it pulls them off its a crafty lil bugger i went out with the bucked of water midnight friday and 2am saturday morning but he wasnt there woke up a few hours later to see fresh paw prints on the windows i got home late last nite - couldnt be arsed covering it up and no paw prints this morning ill have to try the crushed mint on the blankets or antifreez soaked cat biscuts
  10. yes fixing the door is the most practical option but by the time the weekend comes round i just cant be arsed it realy needs a new door my dogs not much bigger than the cat and sleeps indoors so that ideas crap good ideas guys id still like to shoot it but my cat loving g/f wont let me lol stick the m3 in the lounge?????? park it in my bedroom so i can share the blankets with it!!!!! ill have to ambush the lil prick with a bucket cheers jeremy
  11. right heres my situation my 95 m3 sleeps in the garage as per normal, but the garage door is busted and wont close the neighbours cat is taking advantage of this and chooses to sleep on my very loved m3 the problem is it leaves dirty paw prints everywhere and makes vertical scraches as it slides off and generaly annoys the heck out of me ive tried letting the family dog go after it, covering the car with blankets and warning the owner to keep it inside at night but it comes back everynight apart from shooting it what other choices do i have untill i get the door fixed? thanks jeremy
  12. car value is also importaint (nothing worse than paying huge premiums when they wont payout the full amount) im 22 and have a 95 m3 fully insured for an agreed value of 20k and $1000 per year through ami i wouldnt reccomend aa, on average they wer quoting me double of ami on previous vehicles, and they reffused to cover the m3 jerm
  13. cars done 83,000 ks and ive done 2000ks since buying it in jan (havnt changed the gearbox oil) goin through the service records- the valve clearances havnt been set,now on my list of things to do i wont be driving 3hrs to the stealership for a inspection 2 whats the microfilter your talking about? im guessing you meant you adjust the vavle clearances by replacing the shims? atf in manual trans- ya learn a new thing everyday gannet boy- poor m3??? its got to be the most loved if not the only m3 on the coast lives in a garage, wash/wax full groom every weekend so what e36 bits are we replacing guys? thanks jeremy
  14. thats what im thinking AFAIK you dont use atf in a manual trans
  15. whats this inspection 2? ive never taken my m3 to a dealership m3_boy is your m3 auto? and how many k's shock mounts are coming up, -right after the water pump idlers and alternator what other bits are we replacing?

    E36 M3 non evo

vanos is an easy fix i did mine for under $500 pm me if you want the procedure makes a world of difference in feb i paid 20k for for my black 95 m3 with 82,000ks and would do so again no point in moanning about fuel i cant imagine us walking 450 to 500ks per 60L tank doesnt seem that bad to me anyway ive hardly notticed a diff between my m3 and my old e30 325i i say find a tidy one you like and dont pay too much attention to the price, youl allways make more money an imaculate m3 sitting in your garage will brighten any day jeremy
  17. this may sound stupid but are all the widows right up? i got caught out in my old e30 after my gf's little brother left the left rear window down about 5mm and check your door and window rubbers, ive heard of the rear window seal leaking and making its way to the floor pan, you wont be able to see it leaking either pull the seats and carpet out, jump inside and get someone to attack the car with the hose good luck jerm
  18. and 450 later for a regulator and my alts all fixed wont be jump starting anything again, like that smoker on tv says "its not worth it eh"
  19. come back to the westcoast and youl find out every man an his dog knows lol but you wont be hearing any details from me anyway less about diggas and more about beemas
  20. sell my m3 and get a e34??? i just dont see your where your coming from probbly got the same size batts- its fricken huge ive seen smaller in tractors heard back from the sparky its an alternator issue could be worse- wev got a $4,000,000 digger at work with roll over damage lol
  21. who supplys remus? thanks
  22. ive got the alternator out at the moment- not an easy task evry thing was hooked up fine in the correct procedure but the nissan was dead flat, once the last cable was conected the beema bogged down with the extra load and the cables i used wernt the spike protection type also what one of our sponsors do the best deals on parts? while ive got the alt out ill replace both belts, idlers and water pump ill go check the small wire coming off the alt for power i checked all the fuses under the bonnet, found a semi crook one for the passenger air bag??? (one of the legs wer loose and lost continuity when wiggled) ill keep ya's updated lesson learnt- jump start cars with batterys and not beemers!!!!!!
  23. right i did the unthinkable last weekend........... i jump started my dads nissan pulsar off my beema and now my car isnt charging (still runs fine with a charged battery fuses are fine any ideas on what ive stuffed? diode in the alternator maybe???? thanks in addvance jeremy im now going to pull my hair out
  24. hey all i try not to work on my baby but im not putting up with handling issues its a 95 e36 m3 done 80,000ks has a horrible wallowing feeling in the rear end while travling at open road speed and you wobble the steering wheel slightly- feels like my old e30 318 with no rear sway bar and crap shocks now ive put it on the hoist cant see anything worn and with those k's there shouldnt be lol so im wondering if some of the bushes can be replaced with nolothane or similar? if so what ones and do any of our sponsors do them? its got aftermarket 18" rims aslo thanks in advance jeremy
