The 335 could be a bargain for someone. Wouldn't be too hard to repaint black

I would always pay a premium for a NZ new car - NZ new is the only way you can be certain of the odometer reading.
To me, driving an import feels like wearing a fake watch. The funny spec wheels, cloth trim (in most cases), other odd spec, radios that don't work properly and small number plate areas.
I wonder run 100 miles away from anything ex-Singapore. I have experienced electrical issues first hand.

Style 21 - M5 "throwing stars" do it for me

E46 all the way. The 525i is a bit of a slug and you will have much more fun in the 323i

Good luck with the sale!
My old man checked out the 325i vert for me and I beleive you were waiting there to also view it (and buy it!).
I would be interested to hear what your plans are for the car. I was tempted, but the fact it needed a new roof and the other general tidying put me off as I would need to pay someone else to do it all (coupled with the fact that I don't have a garage at the moment). This has the potential to be a mint car and I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

There seem to be a lot of technologically smart people on here and I need some help.
I have a Iphone 4 and the lack of reception, calls dropping out and jamming up when I try and dial out and someone is also calling me is really annoying me!
I use my phone for calls a lot (battery runs out at about 6pm each day) but also have all of my music on itunes and want to be able to sync my phone to that.
My questions:
- Are 4S or 5 improved in functionality as a phone?
- If I buy a Galaxy (which I hear are better as a phone) can I easily sync my music?

Spotted a white E30 on chromies pulled over on the Hutt motorway this morning. The boys in blue didnt look too happy with the flat peak capped driver!

Does anyone on here have a 2002 tii they could be interested in selling?
There haven't been any on TM for a while. Would be interested in gauging market values

It amazes me hw much margin people think dealers have in cars!
If BMW NZ could sell M5s cheaper and still make money they would. As an importer they will be under big pressure to get new vehicle market share

The Rangers seem to be very popular at the moment with many people moving away from Hiluxs with the D4D issues.
I drove a new Ssangyong Actyon ute recently and was very impressed, a nice package and very good value

Thats because margins are on average 5% (i used to be a department manager at a supermarket)
you cant tell me the margin is only 5% at your local BMW dealer.....
What sort of margin do you think dealers have in new cars??

Could be a good buy for someone, nice colour and cool wheels. Has anyone had experience with high[er] mileage SMG boxes?
-
Nothing as yet. Keeping my eye out for a good NZ new Boxster 2.7 or 3.2. Will keep you posted.

Why PFL specifically?
A red 540i motorsport went for 8k not long ago
Duh typo on my part

Nice work!
Always have my eye out for a Vogue LSE soft dash

Interesting blue leather on the 7...
If it were my money I would hold out for a NZ fl 530i MSport. The V8 would be nice, but in the real world the silky 3.0 has plenty of grunt

For someone after a reliable car under $10k that they will run into the ground, a Golf isn't a good idea.
You will pay a premium for a Corolla because of the name. $10k will buy you a nice NZ new Pulsar, Civic, Lancer etc. Just make sure you get one with good history etc.
-
It's a DB5, not a DBS!!!
-
These will be a desirable classic in a short time. Stuff the running costs and have some fun. Go for it!
-
If I went for an E30 it would need to a be a 100% stock 325i facelift cabriolet.

Used car prices are not increasing! The reality is that cheaper cars are not being imported as much as they were as dealers can't make any margin. There have also been a lot of higher priced used cars for sale - look at all of the UK imports.
If anything I think used car prices have taken a hit. New cars have never been more attractive. For under $25k you can now get a brand new car with things like bluetooth, 6 airbags, ESP and in some cases service plans etc.

26, easy!
For a real challenge, add Car IQ to your facebook page. By looking at a car, you need to work out (from multiple choice) make, model and year

The colour combo looks good on a car designed for the racetrack, not a family car that cruises the streets of Auckland!
