Quite liking that 840ci, Just a shame of the K's. Think I'll just save for an E36 3.2 M3
-
Here it is, it's in Napier, Bidding currently over 35k http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-76368558.htm Or there's a 1981 635 "Schnitzer" Auto for 10k asking price, Low K's (if they're genuine) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-77230525.htm

What about one of these? anyone watching TopGear tonight would have seen it. Weismann MF 3, S52 Powered Roadster. Or, Weismann MF30, M54 Powered Roadster. Or, Weismann GT, M62 Powered Hardtop Coupe. I want one. http://www.wiesmann-auto-sport.de/eroastart.html

There was an M635 on Trademe recently, think it was in Gisborne or something.

After an E30, not fussy on K's, Preferably either a 320 or a 325 but would take an alright 318. Manual preferably, but again not too fussy. Also preferably a coupe. So basically I'm looking for a manual 325 coupe but I can be swayed to an Auto 318 4-door haha. Doesn't have to be currently road legal, But must be driveable (no major mechanical issues) Looking for a project Send me a message if you know of anything around, I'd probably take anything in a manual, or any coupe.

32-34 psi, 41 seems a bit high?

Auckland to Hawkes Bay Wineries?

Sounds fun to me! or east cape..

I get around 600k's to $90 of 95 in a manual E36 318iS Coupe when being reasonably gentle (I can go from Tauranga-Auckland and back plus a little driving around in Auckland for ~$80) Little heavier on the right foot though, and about 350k-400k to a tank ($90-95 of 95) Used to be able to squeeze that kinda mileage out of a 2L turbo Nissan. But the E36 is nicer to drive.

If I gave it a couple more months I could probably get together enough for what those M3 Evo's seem to be going for (around the 27-29k mark) or maybe get a short term loan.. What are you selling Cain?

Ok, having decided against working on the 1995 318is Coupe (89k, full m-sport kit including spoiler, suspension, seats, wheels, steering wheel, two sets of wheels - 16" BMW M-Sport wheels & 18" Advanti's) I currently own, I've decided to sell it (offers) and empty my savings towards a new car. Figuring around a minimum sale price on my car of around 9 grand, I'm probably going to have around 21-22k to play with afterwards. Now comes the tough question, if you had around that figure, wanted to stick with BMW and liked going fast... what would you buy? (other than the TWR racing E30 M3 currently on Trademe)

Saw a nice E30 M325 2-door on Elizabeth St in Tauranga this morning, dark silver, ACS replica wheels.. very tidy, drove past it twice haha.
-
would a 328 gearbox go behind that alright? and would a 328 diff be strong enough?
-
Alright well if anyone hears of any M52 2.8, M54 3.0, S50 3.0 or S52 3.2's for sale, let me know! Or any crashed/stolen 328's because I'm guessing I'll need the gearbox also.
-
I guess an E30 M3 S14 would be ideal and probably an easier fit than an S50. There's a Vanos M50 2.5 from a 1993 on trademe at the moment.. would be a bit of an improvement but why go for something mediocre, if I was going to do an engine swap it would need to be for something with a bit more go than that. Other thing is I don't want to go to an engine with too many K's on it as one of the things that attracted me to this car is that it's done low k's and is in great mechanical condition, just a few little chips here and there on the exterior which are being tidied up gradually.

Do the S52 or S50 E36 M3 engines come up for sale very often?
-
If it's a 95 it should be an m42? problems to look out for: being overtaken by old women in people movers & not being able to outrun a Mazda Bongo van full of drunken teenagers. They're dead slow.
-
That's an M54 right? released in 2000? 170 kW or 230ish hp And 170kg. also, trying to fit one in the spot where an M42 used to be would probably be a bigger mission than an SR20DET swap. and I was talking flywheel figures before, I'd be happy with 160-180hp at the wheels.
-
Cheer's, looks pretty good, claims 192hp at 5.5lb from stock 140hp. Around $6k USD. Plus a minimum of around 16 hours labour (because something WILL go wrong) plus tuning time and dyno time. So.. do you think I could build something equivalent for the $12,000ish mark that kit would cost? I'd have a full exhaust as well as that kit and probably run boost at around the 6-7lb mark. Guessing that would be good for somewhere around 200-215hp. Or just SR20DET it... which would probably work out cheaper, and more reliable, and make more power.

Pajero being Mexican for "Masturbator"

Doesn't help me either M42 =[
-
If in it's current tune it's running rich then chances are it was tuned to run more boost than what you're putting through at the moment. Any idea about what levels it had been running before?

Not sure on yearly mileage. Probably around 40-45k a year as I've done 11,000k in the last 3 months.

I see big single turbo conversions and 800hp E90's becoming the new benchmark..
