  1. Thanks for your help, we may just have to fly down and check her out...
  2. You're a star! Thank you so much! I think more than a box of beer is in order...look forward to hearing about. Cheers Pam
  3. I've found an E30 on Trade Me which I may have fallen in love with...would be awesome if someone around that way could check her out for me... Never done this before; perhaps PM me and I'll give you the details? Thankies - Pam
  4. Whats the problem with drilling holes? Unless you're a noob and do them in the wrong place! I gave my Mum euro plates (from germanplates.com) for her birthday; because she's anal about people touching her car, she went to Team McMillans to have them put on, and they drilled them, oh and I'm sure if they believed the plates werent legit, they would have said something to her...
  5. I havent heard of them before... But just checked the company out - "Contractor Bonding Limited", they were incorporated in 1973 and an inside word says they're not dodgy PM me if you want to know more
  6. My experience (having worked in the industry) they are generally quite good...but the occasional insurance company lays a LOT down as 'wear and tear' and therefore dont fork out... From memory, in the 'Proteca' booklet that you get with the insurance (i.e where you stamp your services every 10,000kms) there was a full 2 page spread on what IS covered...perhaps worth asking whether they can provide this It also works well where you know your mechanic...at my old work we disputed with the insurance company that the item that needed replacing (on a clients car) wasnt 'wear and tear', I think it went to small claims or disputes tribunal or something...Client WON! Hope that didnt put you off... Out of interest what kind of car is it and how many kms?

    Pam buy this

Or a Pam with a 3 series BMW! i.e. ME!
  8. I owned a 730i (V8 still) when I was 18-19 (and I'm female) no issues with parking/turning radius for little me! If I were to buy another, I'd definitly get an NZ new - Singapore Imports tend to have a few more issues (esp with plastic being brittle and easily breaking) just my opinion though...
  9. I'm with Andy, sit your restricted in a manual, buying one is another story, but as I understand your are not 'supposed to drive a manual if you have an auto only license, its only when you get your full you are able to drive either.
  10. Definitely all about personal preference Especially seeing as some believe an E34 is a big car…Jump in an E46 4 door – I don’t think they’re much smaller!
  11. So much for being realistic, $ wise!? I'm in Andys boat...getting a little bored of BM's, sitting in a 5, 7 or 3 - they all seem quite similar after a while! A Porsche is next on my list, just cant bring myself to sell my girl
  12. DCEIVN, Call European Autospares (I love them to pieces - they have always been able to hook me up) and ask for Kerwin - Pam
  13. My gosh! I dont know where you tried sunshine, but it was only 2 years ago when I had my ol' girl (E38) and wreckers had heaps of parts! Have you tried Mosens (BM Warehouse) or European Autospares?
  14. Better late then never Most of the Aucks crew know me...and my little purple demon
  15. Hey hey, speak for yourself, I may have been in jeans but I was wearing a Veronika Maine shirt
  16. Hopefully someone gets some photos tonight and remembers their memory cards this time that is a hint Josh
  17. Its not about how many cars you've had, its about how many BMAs! I currenty have my '96 328i manual (E36) Had (and sometimes still drive): '94 730i (E38) '90 525i (E34) And also had: '86 323i (E30) '73 2002
  18. YAY! Another purple or should I say Daytona Violet
