So the ad neglected to mention the huge amounts of rust in the doors. Ghey. No idea how it didn't fail a WOF on it. The guy was a cop - so much for honest. At the bare minumum it needs: The stuff i mentioned before - control arm whatever. 4 x new shocks 2 x new doors (or a shitload of bog) Brake pedal feels like sh*t Complete tidy New OBC Drivers elec window doesn't work Anyone have sport seats? Front drivers door doesn't close easily - any advice on that? Tappet noise is .. well REALLY noisey. Haven't opened bonnet yet - too scared.

17" isn't that huge - the MacBook Pro is so light: Chris: It's badass - really versatile editing/post prod machine - and portable. Adobe Suite 3 (intel based) really cranks now - photoshop used to be such a weak link on intel based macs. Its MUCH faster than on PC. We have an 8 core machine on order for Colour Grading/After Effects/Motion work - I'll let you know how that cranks - all our other machines (including my new work machine are 4 core) Don't think you'll see 4 core in a MBP until they get smaller/use less power for heat issues. Yes - we have unlimited Final Cut Studio 2 (got it yesterday) - but it notifies Apple and we'd break our volume licensing agreement.

Cool prizes from Bimmersport, Botany Motor Works & ELF. Be there!

I just got a Macbook Pro 17 " - 2.33 Ghz Core 2 Duo - it hauls ass. Except Apples are closer to 5k

I have a turbo 318iS that may suit your needs? A lot quicker than your Dad's car!

I've towed circa 1800 kg braked with an E36 - it was awesome. Got me back from Taupo in under 3 hours. They still handle really nicely. E39 would work nicely - 528i upwards. If you must be 4x4 - the X3/5 are both serious cars and can do off road. The 3 is smaller - the 5 is bigger. Basically the 3 & 5 series of BMW 4x4s. But both are $$$ - i'd rather use a Jappa.
-
Yeah - I like the 2.7e motor. Should be decent on gas and low-revs = lasts FOREVER. Good for another 300k at least.
-
Cheers Ken - The reason I got an E28 is E30s are starting to get expensive. Plus its the kinda car that looks like most sh*t will just bounce off it hah.
-
I might add this is ANOTHER car bought totally sight unseen and a bit of an impulse buy. What should I check on on the E28? I'm familier with the motor - but nothing else really.

She thinks its pretty f**king ugly (not 100% wrong). But I've taken to it. E28 '88 525e manual. 2.7 manual goodness for the win - in Luxorbeige for 1200 bucks. Score. Only 300k on the clock - just run in. Now - it needs; Anyone got any recommendations on where to get these bits plus cost? Cheers

Sold in 3 mins - you guys really are desparate for gearboxes!
-
Make me an offer before I chuck it in the bin. Was on my 318iS turbo and an input bearing appears to be lunched as there is play in the input shaft. I guess if you know what you are doing or have gearbox hookups you could repair it. Is suitable for the series.

Lies - I was looking at buying some? SP Tyres are the importer - perhaps check with them.
-
a cool 1.5k pretty much at deschlers for that - shotgun not hah.

Or Dunlop Formula R or Direzza Race varietys

No - You can't open the throttle any more than it will mechanically open (and if you could it would start to close)
-
more likely the 525 doesn't have enough power...LSD my ass.

My new driving hero - that's racing. Seriously - he just doesn't brake! Badass
