Yeah i was only asking about weight because i have 2 spoilers and they are quite different weights - sounds like the gen one will be heavier which is good news as the lighter one is a bit poked !!

if it costs less than a couple hundred dollars and takes less than 3 -4 hours its likely to have been an extremely poor job. The "cut&Polish" that these car cafe places advertise should really be stopped from using that term.

Hi all, ive been looking into these as ive seen a lot of good reviews for them as being about the best locking nuts around in combination with a good alarm with tilt sensor and glass break sensor. My question's are : Has anyone used these before ? Comments if so. Are they available locally anywhere or is overseas the only place to purchase ( yes ive googled but couldnt find a local supplier advertising them) And finally - there are 2 part numbers available for my car - both are M12 x 1.5 with a 60 degree cone. The only difference is length - 37.9 or 29.5 mm - can anyone advise if one or either or neither is the correct length i should be looking for. Thanks ! Also keen to hear any other thoughts on wheel security. Cheers JD

Its leaking from between the top and bottom halves of that unit. pretty much exactly where the tip of the arrow is in that picture.

Further reading suggests i might be referring to the heater core valve ??

HI everyone, second issue for me now - for some reason the left hand indicator bulb and the right hand side main 3W bulb are not lighting up. Ive removed the cluster and switched the indicator bulbs and 3W bulbs from the other side .... no change - the bulbs in question dont light up. IE it doesn't "seem" to be faulty bulbs. Im considering just replacing all of the bulbs with new ones anyway just to rule that out completely but its seems unlikely to be the issue. Im assuming its probably some sort of contact issue on the inside of the cluster - is it a stupid idea to think about opening the cluster and checking out the contacts ?? Any advise most appreciated. Hi all, just hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. I recently discovered a coolant leek in the passenger footwell of my 89 325i. A quick google tells me it is likely to be the "heater core" and a further google turned up some walk through's on how to remove and replace that item. However upon further digging in my footwell it appears like my leak is coming from a square white unit sitting above the metal piping leading to the heater core. The arrow indicates exactly where the leak is coming from - in between the black and white halves of what appears to be some sort of sensor. Can anyone advise what this part is ? and where i might find a replacement (just out of interest BMW NZ want $455 +gst for a new core out of Germany, got quoted $100 from a wreckers for 2nd hand). Is this item in fact just part of the heater core (or the core itself and im thinking the core is something else?)
