  1. Didn't really want to start a new thread. Just took a few wee pictures, Labour weekend is the biz, bizzy biz biz.

Went to the D1NZ, not a massive fan, but anything with a cage going fast and loud is two thumbs up:

Oh and my car blew a coil pack. And Exams are on for the next two weeks. So nothing much happening with cars :( :( :(

  2. Car is officially under my friends name. Was supposed to be in his brothers possession a good few weeks ago. Keeps making excuses. I guess the only receipt is the bank transfer for the few thou it cost.

Mate if i was in Auckland or the car was in Taranaki you would have the car in your possesion(sp?) by the weekend. I love repo' type work, gets the blood pumping lol.

:D Hahaha classic. G C as they say.

*Oh it's a 1989 325 auto, has those rims on you can see.

  3. My good friend bought a E30 about a month ago on trademe from Auckland. The sellers names is Kale G. I won't put the full name, yet.

He has backed out on delivering the car 3 times now to my friends brother in Auckland, and rarely responds to correspondence.

Here is a picture of the car, just wondering if anyone knows this guy. He has mentioned being a member on here.

Just had a phone call from him now backing out of another delivery that was supposed to happen at 7pm tonight, after a previous 2 weeks of not even being on the map.

Just if anyone knows him, could they kick his ass into gear.

So there are some pretty cheaps flights to Auckland.....

  4. Quick test: run outside, put a pancake on your sunroof. Jump in, look up, look down, look up again, and if you feel like having a tasty breakfast treat then you have a glass sunroof. If you feel like eating some headliner then you have a metal sunnyroof.

  5. Just thinking about that video more.. It really shows why Ruapuna gets boring after 10 track days in a slow car. Stuck behind cars for the entire lap through the twisties with really no where to pass (outbraking someone on a track day is a no no), then you can't catch them on the straight!!!! ARGH so many frustrating memories.

Hopefully not too many more now..

  6. (I'm in intermediate year, 1st year effectively...eeek)

Thinking about it practically, if you have a 20mm bar and add 5mm of metal to it, thats a sh*t load of metal being added, and stiffness would increase massively.

I can school people on Engineering Statics and Materials?! oh and how to write technical reports. yay

  7. I have just taken this off my car after using it for about a year I believe. (Went back to the stock front sway bar because this one became too much for the lighter engine I have now and the upped spring rates)

On an E30 with spring rates near to stock, lowered or not, this will make a dramatic difference to turn-in and inside rear wheel grip.

    How-to install is here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry287423

You will indeed need to get some longer 13mm bolts to secure the bushing brackets, otherwise it'll be in there too tight and the bar won't move with the short bolts which are there.

Use your stock end links. And grease it up real nice. Bushings have no rips or tears.

Retail for about 400 here. On the Whiteline site for 340NZD plus shipping from Australia.

    Yours, here today, for 240.
