Yeah I'm hoping to get a bit of a bidding frenzy, it is a 260, hard to get no?
Hey mate, just saw the q's on your auction about the 260 fitting m50/52..
It will fit these engines for E36/E30 with some modification to mounts.. Brent has info on the install into e36 and they are widely used in E30/M50 Conversions.
Might bump the price up on the auction for you...
Cheers,
Chris
No sh*t! Well I thought the hours and hours of forum research over the past year were enough haha!
I'll add a comment. Thanks man

Finishing at 8pm on Tuesday, this $1 reserve way is fun!

That is a damn awesome picture Riley!
Having been abused in your car with its sheer torque I think you wouldn't get too killed by an E60

Auction still running! Tell your friends

It would still be punchy with no intercooler, with one there would be not as much beautiful throttle response I'd take the instant response and simplicity over the 7-10hp or so.. But hey with at intercooler it'd fly on cold nights!
-
Didn't think you needed a intercooler with a supercharger?
A decent CAI set-up would be just as effective no? It's not like the supercharger is glowing with heat like a turbo eh.
Oh but nice idea, should be fun, no lag

Read that yesterday, reply today...
What a smartly engineered car! If the new prototype is just as smart but with 2008 technology then its going to be a hell of a supercar.

Ah great great thanks. I may go find replacement bolts then.

Well now, my beatuiful M 323i was rear ended last year and I've finally got around to getting the gearbox seperated.. just have to find out what should go with it. Bit of a mission it was, only stripped 2 of the torx bolts.... yay.
Question, the plate which is on the bottom of the gearbox with 4 small torx bolts (stripped one of those bolts, hence this question) and covers sort of 4 inches of the sump, would an automatic car have that?
And had to grind out 1 of the 2 biggest torx bolts, was very very very siezed, I'm guessing this could be replaced from the dealer or a similar bolt used?
Basicly just wondering if the mounts and bolts from an auto are the same as a manual.
Thanks
So the getrag 260, pedal box, master, slave, flywheel, clutch, driveshaft, shifter and clutch hard line, (a.k.a everything) will be on trademe $1 reserve soon. Moving to australia and I've never had the thrill of a $1 reserve auction

Here is the product that sets the standard for camber plates. Low stack height, easy adjustment and one hell of a bearing. It's what most people overseas recommend eh.

I took all of it out a couple of weeks ago, really did feel a difference handling wise, became much more darty. Lost about 20kgs total from the very front.
And I was amazed just how heavy the pump is, it's like its filled with squashed teeth of baby.

1100kg (1/4 tank)

Sound Deadening

Heavy rubber mats in boot (moved battery between rear towers to compensate)
Very happy with that Goal is under a tonne though..
Getrag 260 and all bits to make an e30 manual.
