  1. Awhile back I had a post requesting info on tyres and it really got off the ground with plenty of good info provided. Have done about 5,000k since the fitting was under taken. The handling has improved plus the level of road noise has been reduced also.

Wish to say Thank you to Zennetti=Johno for assistance in this matter. So if you have any tyre woo's give this man a call and I'm sure he will help you out. :D

  2. This feels like putting my head in the lions mouth but I have to ask. PIMP the dictionary says procurer;pander. I have heard some of you guy's us the term in regards to your cars. What are you talking about and could someone explain this in Good old simple English ????.

  3. Xenon units are available also with this deal, angle eyes. They were trying for the units with self levelers in them if they got the numbers, at last look the list was at 45 people. Xenons work out about US $675.00 or $909 NZ roughly.

How did you come up with the $99 shipping bit I was quoted $124 US, I smell something fishy. They are dealing with a crowd called Umnitza. They have a front few other deals going M-tech/M5 front and rear bumpers try

bimmerforum.com and all the www bits.

Had a look at this site also www.eurosportdesign.com when checking out various types of lights. The Hella lights

Priced out at US $639 Headlights with the Halogen bulbs and angle eyes for a pair.

US $1329.00 for the upgrade to Xenon from Halogen.with clear corners, self level, total package.

US $919.00 for the Xenon with clear corners/self level etc.

An additional cost as it's right hand drive plus shipping.l

Celis LED tail lights $359.00 US

Side marker lense US$40.00 a pair.

Was quoted from Eurosports US$1990 for a total light upgrade, that was Xenons, Celis LED tails and side marker all clear, included shipping. Thats about $2686.00 NZ roughly

In both cases they say it is all plug and play.Sorry for being a little sceptical but so far anything I've had to do on a beamer has been far from plug and play.

  4. Hi are the badges on the e36 just stuck on with double sided sticky?.Reading in another forum about debadging they used dental floss.Warmed up the area concerned and pull the floss between the badge and the paint work cleaning up any mess afterward. For what it's worth.

  5. hi!. No problem will take on board your suggestion's re- grammer. Does the capitals no apply as shouting in this case or is it only the whole word.

The whole situation leave's me puzzled also, why go to so much trouble to tape them over. As for the heater thanks for the advice on wet carpet and water levels. The price for a new heater core does not impress me touch wood that all goes well.

  6. Hi Yuen tried them but they came back at me with don't ship to New Zealand they were around $115.00US i think. Got mine from http://www.beastpower.com for $129.00 US about $190 NZ. found a couple of other's but much dearer. the Bentley publisher 's wanted $169 US for a copy. have a look at the sight heaps of good stuff on board Daneil is expanding the business from just the five series to a few other models.

  7. well bit the bullet and got myself a E39 Bentley manual http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/al...ntleymanual.jpg this thing is thicker than any bible I've seen and their are two volumes to it. Had a couple of problems with e39 and thought it was time to get in some light reading Ha Ha!! see maintence section for further details. Asked about this awhile back and got a quote for $401.00 NZ from the crowd in Auckland. took four days and I had one for $285.00 that included freight. with the problem I had it's paid for it's self already l feel.

  8. This saga continues

Apart from no heat have also found that their was no de-fog to the windscreen. Off to the dealers and was told a day and a half they would need the car for. boy did that make the tumblers on the cash register rotate a bit  .

Decided to attack this problem from another angle. The gospel according to Bentley, well it's thicker than any bible I've seen and it has two volumes. Have enquired about this a couple of months ago and got quoted $401.00 dollar NZ from the crowd in Auckland. Recieved one from the states which took four days for $285.00 included freight. With this little venture I believe its paided for it's self already.

Did some light reading on Friday night Ha Ha!! about what was required to fix the above problem. It involved removing the lower kick panels, clove box, asorted trim, lower dash and then the upper dash.

    So went from this

    http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/allan53/IMG_2126.jpg

to this in about three and half hours

    http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/allan53/IMG_2142.jpg

    http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/allan53/IMG_2145.jpg

and all these bits on the garage floor

    http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/allan53/IMG_2143.jpg

What I found was very simple, thank the lord.Somebody had covered over the vents with silver tape

    http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/al...picshome006.jpg

The re-assemble didn't go smoothly with a few hi-cups but got there in the end. Connected the battery and turned on the igniton. Things were a bit hairy with warning lights every where. These disappeared and after a few minor adjustments all seemed to be working, at least the defog does now. Still the burning question why would some one go to all that trouble to cover up the vents in the first place??

  9. Was informed last wednesday, after frosty morning that their was no heat coming out of the heater. Got on line to Real OEM and checked out the lay out for my E39 and went looking.Pulled the heater valve apart and didn't find anything out of place.

Then noticed a couple of odd positioned hose clips I pulled the hose's off. What I found was a plug in each hose which I removed(see image). Replaced the missing coolant ran up the engine. We have heat. why I ask? :wacko:http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r306/allan53/IMG_2153.jpg

  10. Silver-blue BMW 7 series Engine V12-cylinder

    Capacity 5972cc

    Output 192kw

    Top speed 230km/h

    0-100km/h 9.5sec

    Range: H2 approx 200km

    petrol approx 500km

    http://www.bmw.com/cleanenergy

got given a bmw mag 1/2007 and it had this article on a hydrogen /petrol powered 7 series and web site as above. the 760i 12cylinder, vanos camshaft adjustment direct injection. it wolud appear that the h2 mixture is delivered up stream of the combustion chamber and mixed with air a variable valve controls the feeding of the mixture into the combustion chamber very late in order to avoid misfiring as h2 is easier to ignite and burns much faster than petrol and so forth it goes on to say. have look and see hope the site is active ;)
