  1. It's quite common for kids to have flash cars in the U.S. (Range Rovers, 911s, new Mustangs etc.), so the parents probably didn't think anything of it when he bought it (or borrowed it). It's just so unfortunate that the kid's testosterone got in the way of his common sense. My heart goes out to the 5 families. It truly is tragic losing someone at such a young age.
  2. I would PM Martyn (Penry), as I understand he imported his 740i from the UK when he moved here.
  3. Looks nice, but NZ$55K + Shipping and compliance? What about an e60 530d for $60K? 530d Or even a well optioned out, uber cool 6 speed diesel x5 for $53K? x5
  4. Will be tricky to find in leather. You'd be best off buying a SA spec 4 door 325i (Has all the goodies: leather, OBC, cruise control). Martyn has his for sale: Link
  5. Has anyone tracked down the owners yet to see what the story is?
  6. Am totally pissed off after my results. 2 of my 6 subjects are U/S subjects (Architecture and Engineering), which don't offer A/M/E credits. As a result I had a huge disadvantage when in May they decided to introduce the A/M/E certificates, because of course it would have been harder for me to get 50 Excellence credits across 4 subjects instead of 6, like many others had. So, I worked my butt off all year, got named top boy scholar in my year and studied countless hours. My results: (Yes, only 3 of my subjects had exams. P.E. doesn't have externals) Maths: E,E,E,E,E,M English: E,M,M,M Science:E,E,M,M,A (I really don't know how I got Merit in Physics, I should have got Excellence) And I have Level 1 Achieved with Merit but, with 47 Excellence credits!!!!!! So if I can get 47 credits over 4 subjects, does this mean I would have done better if NCEA decided to introduce A/M/E certificates before the school year started, so we could make a better decision in regard to our subjects? NCEA sucks, big time. Now I can get put on the same level with a kid wiuth 54 Merit credits, and no Excellences. How fair is that?
  7. Why not? "Whitewall tires or white sidewall (WSW) tires are tires having a stripe or entire sidewall of white rubber." Futhurmore: "narrow stripe white wall tires [like this: Narrow Whitewalls , and like the M5 above] were common throughout the 1970s and 1980s"
  8. Virs only list the owners name, no contact details. Also, they are now $30. Somebody go into the Post Office with $4.90 and get the owner's details.
  9. I could imagine BMW doesn't want alot of damaged M3 parts on the market just yet. You never kno, they'll probably take them back to Munich to do something with them.

I saw your car parked up Mount Avenue by a Porsche Boxster, on new years day I think.

How many cars do you have?!? BTW I saw your iS in Pauanui and I must say it looks fantastic. You should be very proud!
  12. Auckland's fireworks are even pretty crap compared to Pauanui's
  13. Not only TV, but Sat Nav and computer screen thingy to control that kick-ass stereo.
  14. Shame it doesn't have a TV, or much options at all. I saw one on eBay UK a few months ago that had basically EVERY option!
  15. I saw the most incredible G500 Cabriolet in Pauanui the other day, and I think I may have seen it in Ponsonby too. Apparantly (the Cabriolets) are hand-built in a small factory in Austria, which only produce about 20 a year!

    PM Chooses BM

Ms Fitzsimons lives about 500 metres from my lifestyle block. She must spend thousands on Carbon Credits judging by the amount of Gorse her husband burns using petrol, which is A LOT.
  17. That new Bentley is very ugly from the rear, we passed Paul Holmes driving his new shiny red one very slowly on the Southern Motorway.
  18. Wasn't Ponsonby a bit of a ghetto in the late '80s? Or am I thinking of the '70s?
  19. That interior is super '90s cool!
  20. I thought it had to be 20 years from date 1st registered i.e. Could be an 12/87 but may not have been registered until 1989, and had to be imported after the 20 year wait? (So you couldn't import it when 10 years from date of rego and wait 10 years)
  21. Hey mate, i'd be very keen too, if you don't mind of course! [email protected] Cheers!
  22. Basically, you can't (Without using third-party software). Apple have gone all pansy-ish regarding 'stealing' music etc. However, the only way you can really do it is to get the music files off your mates PC with iTunes on it (all the music on his iPod should still be on his computer) and then copy them into your iTunes music folder using a large flash drive or the iPod on disk mode, and then on iTunes go to 'File">"Import" (You have to manually select what song you want to import, one at a time - this is very time consuming!!). This takes forever if you have a large amount of songs you want to copy, and the easiest way is to just burn heaps of CDs worth of music (re-writable CDs so you don't waste them) on your mates computer (with all the songs on) and then to Rip them onto your iTunes just like any other CD.
  23. Can you PM me if you decide to sell? Cheers
  24. I know a few members have been looking for a set of these. TM
