  1. Saw a beautiful facelift 540i touring in Thames a while ago. NZ New and all goodies. It's a shame I didn't get the numberplate when I thought about it.
  2. It looks like Cosmoblau Metallic??
  3. Wow that must have been a sweet deal.
  4. Say you are arriving in the UK (London Heathrow) on Wednesday morning at 11 am for business. Say you would rather pay in person and arrange own transport back. Give some long phone numbers (like +64 2 354 8594 etc) to make it look authentic.
  5. My mum's Nissan is also backwards - just checked.
  6. Untrue now. Because of the race series now prices for manual 318i's have been pushed up incredibly. It took 6 months of very deep searching to find mine.
  7. Yep, eat/clog older fuel lines.
  8. Yep, that's why you should get your parents to drive in to work, supermarket etc once in a while.
  9. Why ask if you already knew the answer?
  10. G3 iBooks are pretty reliable, but are getting rather old now (iBook g4 was released early 2003, g3 around 2001). OSX is fantastic, very easy to use, although if you're coming off Windows you'll need to play around to get used to everything. The processors of the G3 iBooks are considered slow by today's standards, so plenty of RAM is essential to run major programs. Beware that in the early G4s and some G3s the logic (mother) boards are weak and prone to fail completly at least once during their lifetime. It is expensive to completly replace the logic board (as the Mac geeks claim you have to do) but i've revived 3 socalled 'dead' iBooks by applying pressure to a microchip inside with a piece of plastic. Other than this most iBooks are generally bullet-proof, apart from the battery. Definately get OSX installed, although I personally wouldn't install the latest (Leopard) as the G3 may have issues with running it. It would be great with Panther or Tiger. Don't get anything like OS 9, because they suck compared to OSX. Hope this helps
  11. Advertising on behalf of owner. If anybody is interested, give Sean a ring on 03 3424101 or 027 4595790 Car is located in Christchurch, and the seller is asking $5950 ono.

  13. Whoops, didn't realise this thread was a year old!!!

    We lost...

Haha I saw heaps of them on cars this morning, I felt like taping my huge french flag onto my bonnet and driving around town with it on. But then I though my car would get attacked by a depressed drunk

I just don't see how that referee and two touch judges missed that forward pass! It defys belief. As a Rugby player myself, i'm actually surprised the ABs didn't kick up a huge stink because of it.
  17. I should become a teacher!!
  18. At Thames High School (serving the greater Coromandel district!!), we have four *'88 e30 318i/2 - Mine *PreF/L '87 e30 325i/2 *'89 e30 325i SA *'88 e30 318i/4 Coincidentially, both first two cars are Zinnoberrot (sp), but the 325i is a shitty high-mileage English import, with a poorly-fitted Mtech 1 kit. When I arrived the first day with mine, apparantly he (the owner) was wondering who drives the "exact same" BMW as him. Pffft. In my classes particulary I have quite a few doctors/dentists/lawyers/architects kids, whose parents insist on buying them Daihatsus and Toyotas and utterly refuse to even consider a BMW, because of the small town BMW stereotypes (Hard to fix etc).
  19. Coolant, Oil, First Aid Kit, Rubber Gloves (You don't want to have to fiddle around under the hood on the way to a wedding haha)
  20. Hi Ray, Have you got a set of anthracite e30 floormats for a coupe, and one of the original Owners Manual folder? Cheers.
  21. In my parents Ford you had to replace the battery is under 3 seconds or else you had to take it to the Ford dealer to reset it. I'm sure the dealer will be able to help you out (at a cost of course!).
  22. I'd rather buy this one and save $63K. Link $80K is alot of money for a 20 year old car. You could almost buy a 300c SRT8 for that much!
