Yes, I can assume BMW sent a lot of M3s from the factory with white 'ricer' gauges.

Okay, but what does the 'F' mean? As in F01 and F10 (the successors to the E66 & E60)?

And is also inferior as they have a dodgy profile gasket. Of course it would be simpler. It was first produced in 1961!

M40s are less common worldwide, as in the US market the 318i came with a M42.

I'm 90% sure you'll need a Getrag 260 gearbox for the M20 motor. Unless it's a minor exception. You should be able to get a good amount for the gearbox, as they are the only ones allowed in the Race Series.

I scored a set off TradeMe just before Christmas for $50. Watch out, as the rear badge on e30s are completly different to any other model. The fronts are all the same i'm sure.

Absolutely correct. I remember loving this car when my Dad bought a German brochure about it back from the Mercedes factory gift shop around 10 years ago.

Nope, it looks like a normal box with p/f shifter knob. Dogleg has 1 on the lower left hand corner?

Buy a new, shorter aerial? Or when its up you could kind of push it down to break it so it doesn't go up so far.

2002? Fresh Singaporean Import? Dodgy Seller? I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. The buyer is just asking for trouble. Think about it, it's been sitting in 98% humidity for 6 years, not very good for such a sophisticated electronic car.
