I wanted to swap my newer style one from my 530i too, but different 'buttons' and also my 530i had le mans blue stitching as per the rest of the car, so just left it in the end. I definitely prefer the newer style, thicker, more comfortable and looks better. But wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Hey I've been wondering. I know M5's use some oil as per how they are designed etc. From reading different threads on here, it seems it can range from none to 1L per 1000km. Mine appears to not be using much/any that I can tell, however I have only owned the car for 500km so far. Do other M5 owners check their oil every week or two to make sure it's not using any? For me I would have to check the oil once every 2-3 weeks which seems like a bit too often for my liking. Alternatively, do you think its fair to just drive it normally, have some spare oil in my boot, and wait for the low oil warning light to come on and then fill it then?

Who's is that M5...Nice! Those ACS will look good, but you'll need some lowering springs urgently imo. This car sounds so good, even compared to my M5!

My 530i gets 11.6 L / 100km, compared with my M5 being 14.2 L / 100km. (although yet to confirm as I am still on my first tank ) Same / similar driving and driving style on both, which is a combination of 70% motorway driving 30% urban. The main difference is hitting the gas in the M5 and watching the range drop by 30km.

Crazy that I had only ever seen one on there in over a year, then as soon as I buy my one another appears!

Very nice car you have there. I was so close to buying this one myself. The colour grew on me ALOT. Unique, bright, just like a sports car should be. Looks way better in your photos than it did on Tristan's trademe listing Looks like the clay bar etc did its job! What camera did you use for your photos?

This is my definition of 'stance'. For me personally, I think a well-stanced car looks really good. Wheels that fit properly, a low aggressive ride height, some negative camber, and a good looking aero package. It has nothing to do with getting faster lap times or anything of the sorts. For me it was purely about looks. (Note: Drifting is a JUDGED sport so in some ways having a good looking car is ideal in drifting)

Yeah it seemed like that, the 2 pin plugs... It is as if only one was touching before and therefore getting 1/2 the power? Moved it across and it clipped in a bit easier and sure enough it was fine. Anyone on here an I.C.E expert. I have a 1300w (300w RMS) subwoofer to put in, looking for a powerful amp for it. Is it worth putting some power into the rear speakers? Any amp suggestions? I have the BMW Professional thing / DSP.. Does this mean it already gets more power? I have yet to fully understand what the PROFESSIONAL / DSP thing really means. Thanks again for all your advise/help guys

Yeah bought it exactly two years ago off Matt. Been a great car, but within about 6 months of owning it I knew I wanted M5. I wish I could keep both, use the 530i to drive to the shops and short distance work clients, and use the M5 for weekends, road trips, longer trips. And then theres my nissan race car... ugh too many cars (first world problems) I'm gonna try swapping the white angel eyes over tonight, hopefully its not too hard.

Worth running octane booster I wonder? (maybe for the dyno day?) The other thing I wanted to get done was the headlight circles. As you can see here on my blue E39, the headlight circles are white instead of yellow, this looks awesome imo. Does anyone know how to get this done? I am also very scared to do any I.C.E work on this thing myself, I am notorious for breaking clips etc. Who's a good audio installer who will take care of the car?
