As far as I can see, there is just surface rust but I suppose I will have to remove the glovebox to have a better look. But then again, the water level has gone down, quiet a bit & it has to be going somewhere......

Cancer....yep, found some rust when I removed the carpet (shite). Man this rust issue is bugging me now... Ok, so I don't need to remove the dash. So now I need to know what i'm looking for so I can remove it. Think I will replace this heater core. I was told again today that this is a common problem & it is not really worth getting a brand new core. So out come the seats & carpets, they need a clean anyway . Does anybody have a non-leaking heater core lying around? Cheers Kerashin

Hi, I found that that the front passenger side floor was damp about three days ago. A mate at GA said it seems that the heater is leaking!!! (shite). Although yesterday it was all dry, this morning however I pulled out the carpet & it really wet, the sponges & all....I have two options : 1) Block the heater pipes & somehow drain the excees water. 2) Get a second hand core & replace it. (which sounds like a mission cos apparently you have to remove the dash) Has anybody had this issue? I don't really mind blocking the pipes but I do use the heater now & then. Hmm, how much would a core cost & is this a big job? Cheers Kerashin

EXACTLY! My 85 E30 is slowly reaching the 300's, but the engine is mint, thats cos she'e been takin care of & with genuine BMW parts. Yes, I've spent alot of coin & the body is not 100% but the km's never worry me! When she hits 300, i'll take a post up a pic, damn I'm so proud of her.

She's mint, very nice, welcome dude.

Hey dude, just get a good MP3 player with the option of using a flash card. There are quiet a few good ones around, the best i've seen so far is made by Alpine & the flash card just pops into the head. I'm using one made by Daytona VDO & its so damn easy man, just dragging music onto a 2GB card & cruise then a add a few more albums a few days later. Only drawback is that it does not act like an MP3, if I make folders on it, I cannot view it, just the music on the card itself. Other than that it's quiet cool & convenient, if i'm at a mates place & he has some music I like I can drag it over from his PC using my lil flash card bridge device, then cruise home listening to it I don't use any cd's or worry bout them being scratched. Ahh yeah, make sure the deck has more than one AUX input & RCA outputs, thats if you are really into your sounds then you will need the xtras. sweet bro, goodluck :thumb:

OK, after reading through this I have some questions..... So koni shocks are good right? Where can I get them at a good price & fitted(I'm in Auckz) I have standard King springs at the moment, not too low, not too high...but I want then lower... Also, at the moment my left rear is squeeking a tad bit when I push on it...seems to be shocks... I just want it a tad bit lower, NOT full tucked under the fender. So some advice from you peeps will be wicked man.... Cheers

Wow, all that done within a year, neat bro, took me bout 2 years to just get my rust sorted on the rear end. I'm loving the seats bro....if you come across any leather for a 2 door please holla back man. Yo when you say you resprayed the black trim, you are talking about the cosole & stuff? did you just use the vinyl/fabric spray or did you lightly sand the spray & then sand? Reason I'm asking is cos i'm gonna clean up my console & of course I don't want to mess it up.

Man that's looking phat bru! Keep up the good work dude...this thing will be MEAN!
-
Nice bro, very nice...looking mint, just the front indicator lenses to be changed. But other than that it's awesome dude.
-
Well I finally got this sorted, (took me long enough)seems the belts needed to be tightend . I had my cambelt changed along with tensioner & pump, came to $550. Got the guy's over at GA to check all the belts while they were at it & tighten them. The car does feel firmer now(if you know what I mean).

Go with the adhesive remover and nylon fishing line bru, that will work. Then some meths & elbow grease & should look good

I removed my badge of my 323i. Broke the badge in the process aswell But I like the look. Whether dudes look at the badge or not I keep getting asked if it's a 318 or 320. At the end of the day it's your car & it up to you bru.
-
Yeah, good question...You know I never thought about what springs I had until reading this post today....The guy's over at GA popped them in for me a while back, I'll will definitly find out tomorrow.

Beautiful.....is all I gotta say......beautiful!

This is mine....I know not that low...but when going over speed humps ( & that's like creeping over them), the xhaust still touches the ground. So i thought, na I'll stick with this height for now. I've also heard that on E30's, if you go to low you can damage the fuel pump, is that correct?

Have to agree... Also those bubbles around the sunroof is bad man, I've had sh*t loads of trouble with mine, ended up with a whole new roof cos of what I found underneath...
