  1. thanks Damo, no good for the 318's, but someone might want to see if they are good for the 320's?

Sounds likely, they were bought for a six cylindered car.

In what way are they not useable? I was pretty sure that you had the same mounts in a 318, rules perhaps? I think that your statement may be misleading for 318 owners who are not racers, please elaborate.

  2. Custom upgraded rotors - built from a brand new set of rotors, used for around 350k's after certifying and still no human measurable wear on them.. didnt get the micrometer out to back me up yet :). Have sat in the garage on the car for last 18 months, I finally finished my Wilwood setup so time for them to go!

    2x rear slotted only

2x front (vented) slotted and crossdrilled

Slotting was done down to mininum allowable wear depth, so that rotor strength was not compromised. The 335 turbo got its cert using these, some good pads and the stock calipers so that has to say something for them!

Cost me $$$$$ to make, but I realise you may compare the cost to that of off the shelf drilled types, so offers please :)

    Pictures to come

  3. Pair of as new koni adjustables, only reason I aint using them is because I am running full adjustable coilovers in the 335 turbo.

These will make a world of difference if you have never upgraded your shocks, and would d good duty in a street/track car. :D

  4. Having been through re-registration a few times, you will need:

    - ALL paperwork of ownership history (receipts of sale etc.) from as far back as you can get, they need to follow the cars history to prove it aint stolen

    - brakes/brake pads will be required to be replaced/rebuilt - the brakes are a bio safety thing for imports but they ask for it as a matter of course for all re-reg's

    - if there is anything that even looks like a repair it will requirte a light vehicle repair cert - from one of a few experienced panelbeaters athourised to give one. $500 - $600

Rereg is $350 I think, plus one registration cost

It takes a while depending on what must be done so allow yourself the time!

I say go for it and put another E36 on NZ's roads, makes my old cars rarer :)

Apparently nothing wrong with it. Just hasn't been started up in a while. Interior looks good, overall could do with a clean. Third brake light is no longer there. Other than that, nothing I can spot, will have to get it jacked up to check underneath.

  6. Possibly a stolen car too of course. Hope you get some success mate - you've got more than most people - you've actually got some pics.

Surprise, surprise, the driver is wearing a hoody. I'm surprised the cops havn't pulled them over already - modified car and a hoody - quick! arrest them! they are boy racers!

From my experience that will be their car - they just swap to some stolen plates. Thats the new (lazy) way to do it rather than steal a car to steal more cars with, attracts less attention.

From someone who has had every car he has owned broken into or stolen and stripped out, I will be watching closely for you!

Also I had been thinking for a long time about a vigilante justice run, spoke to a police prosecutor and while the cops wouldnt be too happy about it they probably wouldnt be able to charge you with anything for swatting a staked out theif with a baseball bat a few times.... anyone else keen?????

  7. After watching so many slip by...

I am after a 2002 (round taillight preferred) that needs resto work, any condition will be considered, blown engine is fine.

My pride and joy is now a sandwich and I miss 02's so if anyone can point me in the right direction PLEASE let me know!

Reg on hold if possible, but dereg'd considered if under $500 wanted.

    Cheers,

    Damo.

  8. OK guys,

just about took to the manual pedals, but thought I would give someone a chance:

IF you want to swap me an auto pedal box (I just need the backing plate to graft my wilwood setup onto) then you can take the manual pedals for free.

If noone fronts up by friday they are being attacekd by the grinder and will be no more.
