  1. Cheers Mike! Ill crc then do that all at once no doubt ill get em out
  2. No gurantee that the studs wont snap though aye? Just a bit worried cause they would be high tensile correct? And if they have been real hot they will snap more than anything... I was thinking of that freeze spray but isolating it like you say could be a problem? Possibly damage the thread in the head as well correct?
  3. Ahah! I see hmm im worried the studs will snap off in the thread tho.. hmm
  4. Chur, wat are stilsons? Wana post me some haha not
  5. Think ive got a product in the gunk range at work thats the same as a penetrate I will give that a go, im leaving the head overnight for the crc to work its magic and see if that works shot bramz
  6. Hey all, while my heads off my M50 I decided to remove all the old exhaust manifold studs and replace them with new ones. I have got most of them out except for 3 of them. I have tried CRC, vice grips and putting two nuts on the stud and undoing the inner one... they just wont budge! I do not want to snap them off in the head, anyone got some fancy tricks up their sleeve? I thought of even welding somthing to them and undoing them that way.. Luke
  7. Ok I will take $650 for the spacers and wheels as I need these to be gone. Cumon guys help fund an E30 5 stud conversion haha
  8. What size are they? Might wanna put up a little more info on them dude

  10. If you are only running 10psi then you will find it much easier and less of a headache to run a thicker headgasket.. from my understanding there is alot of mucking around to setup an o-ringed type setup. With a thicker headgasket you only need to slap her in along with getting your head decked and cleaning up the block surface. However I just recalled your rebuilding the M20 so it may not be much more work to o-ring it I guess its just down to which is cheaper and easier and more practical? That $340 for headstuds was in NZD dude, heres some for an M20 for USD$199 here As for my turbo I read alot of info through bimmerforums in the states where alot of my motors have been turbo'd. Most guys on there recommend max a GT3582R aka GT3540R so I went for that. IMO I would probably stick to something slightly smaller for the M20 as they dont flow as much as the M50.. maybe like a T3/T4 or GT25 - GT30R, Someone correct me if any of this is wrong sometimes I question my own theorys, could all be wrong lol... Luke

But yea def change a few things and she would be mint again... on the other hand, you wonder how well its been serviced/maintained with the fact that he has done such cheap mods on it e.g the cheap muffler?

  21. Hey guys, have my TSW rims up for sale as im going to go with the 5 lug conversion. They are roughly 1.5yrs old and one rim is curbed and the two rear tyres are worn down due to camber. Rims = $750 to bimmersport members 25mm bolt on wheel spacers = $250 for x4 I can deliver between New Plymouth & Hamilton & Hamilton upto Auckland. If they do not sell on here they will go on trademe. Will also consider a set of standard 4stud rims plus difference as i need wheel to get wof before the 5stud conversion and cert. Heres pics: CLOSE UP OF A RIM: THIS IS THE CURBED ONE:
