  1. Ah that would be a more cost effective solution. I ended up get a custom tune with wedge performance. Current target is 21 psi. You might not need a LPFP as I needed one when going above 18psi.
  2. Nice, I ended up putting in some TD04L-17t China turbos, spool is still very fast I don't even notice the difference really from stock. Powerband is on a completly differntl level. full power all the way to redline. Are you getting a custom tune done?
  3. Hi, how have the turbo upgrades been? Did the CHRAs come with any balance sheet? Im looking at upgrading my turbos.
  4. Hey Sure, -Ebay Catless downpie 3" *Added Bellows to exhaust for less stress on the joins -7" Front mount intercooler -VRSF Silicone Inlets -VRSF Aluminum oulets *Custom rear turbo outlet to fit around steeringshaft. -Aluminium Charge Pipe with HKS BOV. -MHD stage 2+ tune v8.1 Built Engine With -FCP Con Rods -JE 9.5:1 Pistons -King Bearings
  5. @digitalashley When I took mine to Hampton downs oil temps went up quite high, peaked at around 140 degrees. 120 will be fine, If you have good oil it won't start breaking down at 120 degrees. If your car has an oil cooler you could get the Burger Motorsports sport oil cooler valve.
  6. I've done it a couple of times, on my car and on my brothers. It is a nightmare even with a lift. Doing it the first time takes a while, took me several hours to just remove them. If you do try remove them I would drop the power steering. Don't need to disconnect the lines just take if off the sub-frame and tie it up. Gives you a lot more room and makes it much easier.
  7. Thanks. It is a bit of a bummer as I hadn't owned the car for that long before this happened. I am doing all the work on it myself. Bit of a challenge but not too bad if you have all of the required tools and can piece it all back together haha. Currently planning to do a built engine with forged rods and pistons as the engine is in bits at the moment.
  8. Hi all, I am looking for a n54 Crankshaft as mine has spun a bearing and cannot be repaired. I am looking for one which is 01/2009+ production date. Thanks.
  9. Hi all Looking for a trustworthy engine repairer in the Tauranga region that can take a look at my n54 crankshaft. It has spun a bearing and I would like to know if it can be repaired or if I need to source a new one. Plan is to rebuild the engine with Rods and lower compression pistons Thanks
  10. Went for a drive up our road, went fine until I went from WOT to closed and the hose popped off. Going to upgrade the bypass valve as it too small for the amount of air flow. Yes the water hose bends are quite cheap but just wanted to test it. And the lighting wire works a treat haha. More to come.
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjsEVwFR1_Y here it is finally. Has taken me some time to finish well almost finsh. Cant shut the bonnet if you can't tell. Cold start up idles fine. 2.5psi boost from calculations. has a leak which i have fixed now. have not taken for a drive yet. keep you posted.
  12. What ratio are you spinning the charger at? Is it just running off the standard size crank pulley(couldn't quite make out where it was connected to)? Are you going to blow through the maf sensor? Piggyback, remap or different ecu coming with it? Either way it's looking great. I need to hurry up and rebuild my supercharger Hey ya, At this stage I am running a ratio of 1.45. so 100mm SC pulley and a 145mm crank pulley. This should be giving me a boost level of 2.5psi. As regards to the ecu I am yet to decided on what to do. I was planning on seeing how it ran with the 2.5psi as it is only a low pressure. Later on I will either go to link or mega squirt if i do increase the boost. The Maf is before the blower but the Bypass will be plumped back so it is connected after the maf. It is connected to the same drive belt as the crank. so the belt goes from the power steering pump to the SC drive pulley then to an idle pulley then back onto the alternator. There is very little room and has been a mission to actually fit it and connect it up to the drive belt. but so far so good haha
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUgZK0TI7JE just a start up of what i have done so far
  14. Hey. Thanks for that. I will be putting photos up when I get it all up and running. I am using the SC 12 which has given me a bit more room to work with as there is very little room in the engine bay. I hope to have it finished by the end of this week is all goes to plan. Just need to do the bypass/bov and top support bracket. EDIT: I will try get some photos up of what I have got so far.
  15. Hello. I have been working on building a custom supercharger kit for my 330i e46 bmw. I am at the final stages of completing it and I wondering if anyone knows if i can run boost through the ICV with out any issues? I only plan on using 2.5 psi at this stage.I have read that they do not like it. Basically i ask would it be better to connect the ICV to the piping before the supercharger or after it? The MAF will be in front either way. I hope i make sense. Thanks in advance
