  1. oh true, yeah it may be better on a 2.5. thanks anyway aye. i'll give it a go in the next month or so, and let you know how it pans out!
  2. Okay Okay i know it fts the hole, i'm just still deciding, and its not a priority for me! I have other things i want doin first ie. strut brace, simota carbon pod. Speaking of which has anyone on here used the carbon simota pod? I saw a couple of pics and it looks real good, and apparantly its not too noisy either?? And their only $140, which incidentely was the same price i was quoted for a standard k&n replacement filter?!
  3. oh true, gutted - how much was that for a new one? shame aout the towbar, hate to think how that looks!! i'm still 50/50 on europlates aye, i see why you guys do them, but i hate number plates full stop, so i don;t want to make it any bigger than it has to be haha!
  4. they are clear housing!! just the bulb is orange - you can get 'chrome look' ones that flash orange which i'll get eventually that don't show up orange. as for side repeaters and tail lights, they are in the pipeline, prob gonna get smoked clears for the sides, but still deciding on rears. stuck between the oem look ones with clear top line, the half and half crystal look ones and the half and half led ones! too many choices aye!
  5. haha, you stole mine! i got mine in jan!! have you done anything to yours yet??
  6. So i got my new angel eyes last week, and fitted them - with varying levels of difficulty! Its easier on the second one, put it that way... They are from CPA in Petone - and exactly what i wanted! The halos are wired into the park lights (first spin on the light dial) and while not too effective on a bright day they look wikid when it starts to get dark! I also got a few bits off trademe ie: a lip spoiler, ac style roof spoiler and upper and lower brows. The lip spoiler is on and looks pretty good. The roof spoiler is on its last coat of clear and will be fitted soon (its painted the same colour as the car - hellrot red). I'm also in the process of painting the upper brows the same colour, which will be on soon too! So the next thing on the list was to bring the bumper up to scratch by ripping (well removing) the original style red insert and putting some nice new black mesh in its place. The car went down to jeff gray bmw this morning to get the fanbelts/drivebelts changed - there was a really annoying squeaking sound, which i thought was the belts - only to be told after they put new ones on, that the noise was coming from the idle pulley!! So $350 later i'm now not goin insane with the sound! haha! There are quite a few other mods in the pipeline, but will be done when $$$ allows!!
  7. I recently, just last week actually installed some on my e36 coupe. i bought mine from cpa in the hutt, and while more expensive, they look incredible, and i have a guarantee with them! taking the old ones out, as it was my first time was a nightmare - then after a quick search on the net found there was a damn retaining clip holding the indicator in!! after finding this out the 2nd one came out in less than 5mins. the new ones as they are one piece units were a bit fiddly to get in, but i got there in the end and again the 2nd one was alot easier! they have changed the appearance of the car completely, and at night the halos look wikid! i've wird mine into the park lights, so at first turn on the lights they come on. a well recomended mod imo, they def update the look! i will post some pics in the next day or two - the car is going into jeff gray for new fanbelts tomorrow - so when i get it back i'll take some pics and post!

Very nice!! Lovin' the wheels - what are they?
  9. So in my final weeks in the uk i decided it was time to finally do this! And there are only two words for it - mind blowing! I got to drive IMO 3 of the best supercars in the world! The Lamborghini Murcielago - 6.2 litres of V12 power, and a pure no-holds barred supercar. The Porsche 911 Turbo (996) - The sensible supercar, which still has a 3.6 twin turbo powerhouse! And finally the creme-de-la-creme, the Ferrari 360 Spyder - nothing compares to flooring it and hearing that v8, which feels like its sitting an inch from the back of your head on full song with the top down! For anyone in the uk, or coming over this way, make a point of taking the time to do one of these days! All 3 of them have incredible power, i've been in a few 'fast cars' m3's, boxters, xr8s etc, and they have nothing on these. The power forces you back into the seat, and the handling is something else, going through an 's' chicane at 150+kph, turn the wheel and it goes where you point it. For an average joe like me, it was an amazing thing to actually drive one of these and experiance what their all about, and be able to put my foot down! Oh and if those 3 don't float your boat, they have tons of diff cars like astons, lotus, hummers, caterhams, evos, scoobys, single seaters, rally cars - you name it they've got it! The company i did mine with is www.driversdreamdays.co.uk and they were exceptional!
  10. as far as i know its just bodywork?? although my old mans 4dr has an mspec steering wheel, or is that just an 'extra' or opposed to an airbag one? anyone with a bit more 'upstairs' on beemers know this?
  11. Yeah def true but i'm a bit low on cash, and the car isn't paid for yet - so its gonna be one thing at a time! Clears are def first on the cards, altho don't know know whether to just go for the basics first ie. front corners/rear clusters/clear sides cos eventually i want the single unit front angel eyes that inc the corners and led rears (not altezza style!!) the ones that are simialar to the oe style but a bit more 50/50 on the red and clear if ya catch my drift!
  12. Cheers guys! I have to say i'm pretty stoked with it! As far as tidyness goes she's pretty good, only 50k's - although I only know from photos and talking to the folks! ....explanation: I am currently in London and in the process of moving back home (7 weeks to go!) and i'd been checkin out a few bm's for when i get back. I came across this one, got the folks to test drive it (dad has a '96 mspec 323i 4dr, so i trust their judgement!) got a wikid deal, and as they say the rest is history! The only real thing thats wrong with it is the door card material is coming away - which i'll re-glue/cover when i get back. pic below. And obviously the orange indicators etc, which are on the list of mods to be done! Andrew - It will be interesting to see how they both progress! Any mods planned for yours?
