  1. 1. m52 engine, chain driven 2. as above 3. you have inspection I and inspection II - not sure which one arises at 100clicks, i find it's always a good idea to get a service done when you first get a car then you know it has been done, that is if it hasn't just been done by the previous owner. 4. if its an import, the gearbox, check for flaring, and headlining, door card sagging - also water pumps can be an issue it has the plastic impeller - however i we have 3 e36 m2's on the drive, 1 at 60k, 1 at 110k and 1 at 140k and haven't had any problems and haven't heard of any problems from anyone. It may of just been the earlier m50 engine - someone correct me if i'm wrong! 5. you can run any of the 3, i personally run 98 unless i have no choice (middle of nowhere and no gas) i have tried the different ones and believe i get more power and economy from 98 6. from memory 65Ltr 7. depends how you drive and where - like a nana and on open roads less than 10km/l and around 4-500kms for a tank, round town and like ya stole it way over 10km/l and maybe 2-300kms Hope this helps....

Will an mtech 1 kit from prefl coupe fit a prefl sedan? I'm assuming front and rear should be fine, will i have problems with sides? Thanks.
  4. No worries, i personally haven't dealt with these particular lights aside from smoked side indicators, but the ones i got the quality was fine - and the same goes for my aftermarket front and rear lights. They will never be oem - but oem will never be this price! Installation is easy as, fronts just need a long flat head to bend out the retaining plastic clip, unplug, plug in new ones and push back into place till it clicks. Sides if they are prefl will be one screw then slide forward and out, unplug, plug in new ones push back in and back then screw. Rears are from memory 4 nuts inside the boot, and unplug, put new ones in and do the nuts up. If the lights haven't been out for a long time or ever they will stick a bit - just need to give a bit of a gentle 'helping hand'!
  5. To the first story, that car may have had only 50,000kms on it when bought 5 years earlier, and would have been easily worth that money then with anything under 100km.
  6. While this is very true, you would be surprised at the amount of people downgrading and buying smaller cars - we can't sell enough small cars at the moment. However the big cars are still selling to a point (those that earn enough not to have to worry about the cost, and those who don't care because they enjoy driving and are v8 mad etc....) I own, drive, reg, wof and insure 2x2.5ltr 6cyl cars, there is no way in this world i will be downgrading to anything less! I enjoy driving too much!
  7. I've bought a couple of things from this guy - seems really good, stuff got here asap etc. Just bought some of his m3 mirrors about a week ago and took less than a week from auz! He's got clears for most bmw's too. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-166575897.htm

Was gonna sell mine and get a coupe, maybe its a good thing, i already have 1 coupe, and those extra 2 doors do come in handy........ They will turn into gold dust again soon!
  9. Smaller on the 92 prefl or 97 fl?? Thanks.
  10. Just wanting to know if the front guards off a 1992 sedan will fit a 1997 facelift sedan? i have been told they are different? Thanks.

    Mtech E30

Is it single or twin in? How much for just back box, can you send to wgtn, if so how much?
  14. Depends where, what time, how much traffic and if i'm alone or with passengers! Generally, as my job depends on having a license i'm roughly at the speed limit. I do however stick to a few rules, 1. Never ever speed in a 50km/h zone full stop. 2. Never speed with passengers. 3. Never speed where i could endanger someone else ie. other motorists/pedestrians. Open roads and back windy roads, with no traffic ...well we all like to have a bit of fun don't we!! I find taking a corner at faster speed, without going over the limits of the car more satisfying than out and out speed. I have to say though, for pure 'driving pleasure' the e30 325i can't be beaten for its rawness. The e36 323i is a more refined drive, not as raw. Both have their plus points! There is a time and a place, which should be a track. I'm not saying speeding is right! My 2c....
  15. Yeah its not looking good!! A year or 2 back both of these would have been a bargain!! Oh how times change! Someone offer me something for the car!!
  16. will an e36 sedan rear bumper fit onto an e36 coupe (not ti)??
  17. Yeah tell me about it, i work in the car industry so i know only too well how bad it is! I've dropped to $4k ono, would probably accept less though. Just need someone who wants one! ....thanks for the luck, i'll need it!
  18. sadly i don't have the balls for $1 reserve! don't want to see it go for silly money, and also i don't want to lose tons of money on it either! i might go down to $4k ono!
  19. Is noone out there looking for manual e30 325i's anymore? Or is it the price......???? Any suggestions? I haven't put it on trademe yet, but possibly soon - would rather a bsport member owned it over boy racer....
