i had a look today and i saw two medium thick wires going to into two raised cirlces on the left hand side of the box. i take it those are sensors? i rechecked the ECU too which i thought was 173 (hence motronic 1.3) and it was infact 0 261 200 073. so do i have to get an '87 box? might make it a bit tricky thanks

hi guys im looking for a getrag 260 with all/most of the parts for a conversion in my 87 (motronic 1.3. saw a thread about different sensors or something) pref/l 325i. Preferably in the hamilton area but i can pickup up in auckland perhaps or an equivalent distance. But if youve got anything anywhere else id be interested depending on how much it would cost to ship. cheers for any help

You think theyd get more power than that from 16 cylinders and 4 turbos considering they can tune Skyline GTRs to that kind of power, i suppose you've gotta put it on the ground.

if its in the boot is there anything wrong with running the ground cable back to the neg terminal on the battery?

Hey guys i was driving to taupo yesterday when the bottom connection of the thermostat housing (metal part not the hose) on my e30 325i broke spilling all the coolant out of the system. After getting towed home I put the housing in off my 525e for the time being (realoem had the thermostats the same part number). It runs all right but now it's making a really bad whining sound toward the rear of the engine in the intake side of things. This only starts about a minute after the engine is turned on (maybe air in the coolant and it has begun circulating?) I had to keep driving for a few hundred metres to find a safe spot to pull over i hope that hasnt caused any damage? Any ideas would be great

yea i can vouch they are pretty top notch from what i saw yesterday. just watch out that your ABS control thing wont be in the way like it is on my 325.

yea mate its zender all round. got an auto box in at the moment but that will hopefully change soon
