Yea its connected well. Ive also had a look around and doesnt seem to be any vacuum leaks.

Yesterday I replaced the dash in my e30 and installed a new stereo. It ran fine without the dash in but now everything is back together the engine knocks really badly and then cuts out after a few seconds. Depressing the accelerator does nothing. Could it be that i knocked any connections loose under the dash to cause this or just a coincidence with something more serious. My fuel pump has been very noisy so maybe thats on its way out. Any help would be great thanks

Im 17 with a full license and full cover from tower on my auto 325i wouldve been $150 a month ($1800 a year). So im just on 3rd party fire and theft. My manual one was alot cheaper but im guessing since it was stolen the premiums have been bumped up. Will I get a better deal somewhere else? Suppose I should review them for everyone elses benefit on choosing a company. Its been 1 and a half months since we made the claim and just got the comfirmation back today but that was including house contents and two other cars at the same time (were away on holiday). They chose to write my car off because of a burnt out clutch plate and some minor bumper damage. I cant say I really wanted it back though. I thought they were pretty average and couldve done a few things better. The staff spend half their week on customer support and then the other half managing peoples claims so progress can be pretty slow at times.

I just left the cooler in as i wasnt too fussed and just wanted to drive my car. What i did for the wires was i took (broke) apart the auto shifter and worked out which wires are connected to which when it is in the N position. I then simply found the same colour wires and jumped them as would happen if the shifter is moved to N. As for reverse lights; find which ones are connected when the car is put into reverse and wire them to the gearbox reverse wires.

hehe i put the seals in the wrong way aronud a while ago so could be just that. That was on the slave though

About 1x e36 and 2x e30 at my school. Mostly old honda civics and corollas A teacher has/had an e30 M3 though ive seen him drive a few times. I thought it was an imitation at first buts its left hand drive etc

well since noone else has commented. i would assume the pedal boxes would be the same as they were with my e30. Also you dont really need the whole box just the brake and clutch pedal and the longer bolt that holds them. I found it easier to just put that in than do the whole pedalbox. Again thats in a e30.

Hi guys just wondering if anyone has the doorcards for the front two doors of an e30, in blue leather, I could buy. Also a pair of side skirts for a 4 door. Preferably mtechII if they come in 4 door? thanks

ive actually spent my afternoon reading through the manuals etc. But not really anything e30 specific. Can you just tap into some of the wires under the dash for the existing sensors or would i have to run new everything. This may foil my hopes for some new rims but would be alot more fun. Edit: deleted a few questions, didnt quite read your post properly.

sh*t mate make sure you use torx sockets, pretty impossible to strip i would have thought. You should need E10 E12 and E14 sizes. And hell no is an 89 subaru better

im having a problem starting my 325i at the moment too. i replaced the starter motor with a spare one on saturday and it was fine until this afternoon after school. i managed to start it by jumping some power to the 'signal in' (dont no what else to call it) on the back of the solenoid, so it seems to be in between there and the key for me.

that torque value cant be right

BNT quoted me over $500 for my 325i, i couldnt find anywhere offering a price similar to what i see people talking about on this site. Got a clutch kit off trademe in the end for $300.

have you recently played around with the front normal speakers? they take their connections from there.

Ive got a light silver 4 door 325 you can get parts off in Hamilton. Its prefacelift though.

hi guys just took the clutch out of my parts car and it measures 8.3mm thick (accurately). My manual says 7.5mm is the minimum. Is that much room? I have no idea what to compare it to and how quickly clutches wear? thanks
