  1. Looking for either, any condition would prefer something that's free, ie run bearings etc. Only need it to measure and compare alongside a set of "hot cams" Don't want to fork out the cash on something that isn't the real deal. Yes I have looked at photos online but I would much rather something I can chuck a vernier caliper on and know for sure.

So what have you got? Have to non vanos and better if they're proper f'd. Happy to pick up, need one/both by Saturday and can shell out a box of beers and or some cash.

  2. Re installing the headers (if you do buy them). Make sure you take the engine out unless you're feeling like putting yourself through hell. I recently put them in on my own car and Bmw don't make things easy putting on the engine the 45! 4 bolts per cylinder makes for slow tedious work, oh and remember new exhaust gaskets too.

  3. The brand of shocks are "STD" they're built really well so I was surprised by the loose bush. For the moment I've installed a large washer on the outside of the bushing to stop it coming off if it were to slide. After fitting to the car it was impossible for it to slide out because of the angle it was on, but better safe than sorry. Also when the weight of the car was on the shock nothing moves at all.

  4. Okay so sorry for coming in late and bumping a really old thread, but here's a dyno of my 325i.

Considering I put the M52 intake manifold on it, it seems only fitting to be added here.

    M50tub25

    Getrag 5sp box

    M52 intake manifold (gasp!)

    Standard intake piping and airbox

    M3 headers

3" straight pipe with gutted standard muffler.

    3.64 Lsd

So gear ratio wise very similar to Brent's friends 328ti.
