There's quite a few on trademe like that. For example, the following link. This Mercedes has been on TradeMe for literally 4 years +, originally starting out at close to $20K. I have a good memory. Everytime I decide to have a browse through some cars it's there, year after year. Poor guy. Mercedes

Surely there has to be more damage than that. The owner would be silly to throw it in a damaged car auction at Turners if it was just minor cosmetic issues. If you own a car like this its the type of car you would fix cos its your baby. I don't understand. Maybe I should call the consultant and find out..

Sounds like your AFM to me. My e28 had this problem and I literally took my afm off, cleaned it, reassembled it and the problem went away for good.

Just go out at night, find an e30 on the side of the road. Bring a flat head screwdriver with you, or just use your car keys, and pop off the front and rear towhook covers and put them on your car. Just find an e30 that doesnt look like its been looked after so they wont miss them.
