  1. Cheers, guys - it's booked in for a scan tomorrow - then hopefully get the issue sorted, and test drive and m3 tomorrow and get a trade deal sorted! This is why I love my E36 - I have had an occupancy sensor issue and now a power steering pump and that's it!! - the 5 series... is making my mind go crazy!!! Bring on the M3 :D

  2. hmmm i think the original error code was for the module.

I know it's not great to put a 2nd hand module in, but what i can't get my head around is the fact that the one we put in our car didn't work in our car, but the same module fixed the same problem in someone else's car.

Just want to know what else, if anything, it could be?

Should be getting it scanned again this morning, all going well.

  3. I have an E39 530 Motorsport and we have an issue with the ABS..

Start the car, drive, and the first time you hit the brakes they shudder (the ABS kicks in) then the light comes on and stays on....

So far have changed all the sensors located at the wheels (although these are 2nd hand) and had the faults cleared

have also changed the ABS module (again 2nd hand) and had the faults cleared, that didn't fix the issue, so we put the 2nd hand ABS pump on and again this didn't work. Put the original pump and module back in and took the ABS pump and module back to my work, they then sold it on to another customer with the same issue - this pump and module fixed their issue...

Is there anything else that could be causing this error? I'm going to get the car scanned again in the next week, but I can't think of anything else the issue could be caused by - unless we have a faulty computer telling the car that there is an ABS issue when there isn't (is that possible)

so over it - want to trade it in for an E46 M3

  5. If you need any more info or want to join the mini club of auckland - If you are in auckland (its probably the cheapest affilliated club and they are a very active club - i do their bi-monthly magazine) get in touch with my dad - r-coubray@xtra.co.nz - he is completely obsessed with mini's and has a huge knowledge of them - afterall he has been tinkering around with them since i can remember and I'm nearly 26. He has about 17 of them in storage - most not going yet but oneday I'm sure they will be.

  6. I have had the same problem on my black trim - I used a bit of tyre black paint (can't remember the brand) and carefully using a rag went over all the black trims - rubbing the paint in. Once it dried, i went over it with Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant - I wash my car every week, and every two weeks reapply some of the Ultimate Protectant. Another product I have been recommend is Meguiar's Trim Detailer - but I haven't used this before so can't comment. I have also been recommended bee's wax.

  7. My brother's poor lil E30 got side swiped in a car park hes only got 3rd party insurance, and doesn't know who damaged his car. Anyway - just want to remove the dented door, just need a red door shell (even if it's super faded) I can replace all the windows etc from the old door.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks
