  2. I'm getting married in April 2014 - have the same idea - I'm after m3's lol - will need 4 - don't mind if they are coupes - If I can climb in the back, in a long dress, then my girls will just have to do the bloody same! (and their dresses will be shorter!) haha I mainly want them for photos though.....

    Our idea is to have an E30 M3, E36 M3, E46 M3 and E92 M3......

If I get real stuck I will just my E36 coupe, and we already have the E46 M3 at home so just need to source the E30 & E92

Why don't you hit up the BMW Car Club - see if club member would mind helping you guys out.... All the best with finding the cars!

Would totally offer our M3 but wellington is a wee bit too far

  3. Welcome :)

You can try European Autospares (09) 262 3752 for mesh and front lip - think the mesh is around $50 can't remember what the lip cost now.

Tuning you could try New Zealand Performance Tuning, they do ECU reflashing etc and can give great advice on air intake systems, they also do exhausts etc

  5. I had a Singapore import 325 e36 had been on the country about 4 years before I had owned it. All the door cards dwell apart. Fabric came off and roof liner had sagged (I know that's common) in addition pulling out of intersections was always dodgy as sometimes the engine would almost cut out... found the issue my engine loom had melted together..

I also imported a 318e36 motorsport from Japan. Was a nice, tight car to drive. Only issue I had with that was it was it had been repaired in Japan and not up to our standards. Easy fix...oh and I threw in a manual conversion.

All my other bmws have been nz new, wasn't particularly looking for nz new though. My purple 325 had saggy roof, and the ecu got water in it. My 328 afsin saggy roof..

  6. Nothing wrong with an E39 anymore than anything else. E46 M3 can have the same issues... and more

I know that.... just over this E39... Seems to have more problems then all the BMW's I've had put together.. On a brighter note - the issue is resolved :) decided to bite the bullet and buy a new ABS module.. (OUCH!)

  7. Cheers, guys - it's booked in for a scan tomorrow - then hopefully get the issue sorted, and test drive and m3 tomorrow and get a trade deal sorted! This is why I love my E36 - I have had an occupancy sensor issue and now a power steering pump and that's it!! - the 5 series... is making my mind go crazy!!! Bring on the M3 :D

  8. hmmm i think the original error code was for the module.

I know it's not great to put a 2nd hand module in, but what i can't get my head around is the fact that the one we put in our car didn't work in our car, but the same module fixed the same problem in someone else's car.

Just want to know what else, if anything, it could be?

Should be getting it scanned again this morning, all going well.

  9. I have an E39 530 Motorsport and we have an issue with the ABS..

Start the car, drive, and the first time you hit the brakes they shudder (the ABS kicks in) then the light comes on and stays on....

So far have changed all the sensors located at the wheels (although these are 2nd hand) and had the faults cleared

have also changed the ABS module (again 2nd hand) and had the faults cleared, that didn't fix the issue, so we put the 2nd hand ABS pump on and again this didn't work. Put the original pump and module back in and took the ABS pump and module back to my work, they then sold it on to another customer with the same issue - this pump and module fixed their issue...

Is there anything else that could be causing this error? I'm going to get the car scanned again in the next week, but I can't think of anything else the issue could be caused by - unless we have a faulty computer telling the car that there is an ABS issue when there isn't (is that possible)

so over it - want to trade it in for an E46 M3
