Shouldn't be. I will send you a pm in the morning rather than hijack this thread

For the E36 M3??
-
I can sell you a NEW set of 4 19" wheels in the same style for the price of getting 2 repaired!!

Don't drag me into this I have no issues with Pirelli at all. If you want the very top end of the performance tyre market and you can afford them then good for you. However I firmly believe that not everyone on here has ultimate performance as their number one criteria, and do not need to have the very best of the tyres in the market. There are plenty of very good tyres out there that are suitable for members cars and will fit budgets as required. But back to the original post and trying to stick to the topic. Dubman - it is more than likely that your tyres are well past their best. Their age combined with the fact the car has been sitting around for over a year indicates that it is more than likely the case.
-
Same issue as your previous post?
-
How badly damaged is the thread? You may be able to retap it with the correct tools. We have done a few here successfully from when people managed to cross thread th ebolts.

There should be a 4 digit stamp on the tyres, this generally indicates the week and year they were made. If it has been sitting around for ages chances are teh tyres have gone "off". I would say road conditions may also have played a part as it hasn't rained for ages and then with the heavy showers yesterday it would have brought all the crap tto the surface of the road and made it slippery.
-
How old are the tyres? The rubber in them may have gone hard.

Not really"ALL OF OUR CARS ARE SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. PLEASE INSPECT THE VEHICLE YOURSELF." At auction you buy at your own risk - there is no comeback on the seller. CGA does not apply. Doh - you mean for the seller don't you
-
E46 and E90 won't fit due to the offset being wrong
-
As Glenn said they are all REPO CARS. That would indicate to me that if the previous owner couldn't afford the payments then I would highly doubt that they could afford to do any sort of servicing. Again nothing against the seller - they are just performing a service on behalf of the finance co's. Straight from the auction: ***There has been no mechanical inspection done on this vehicle. We have taken the car for a short drive and given a description from that*** ALL CHECKING OF THE CAR MUST BE DONE BEFORE THE AUCTION CLOSES ALL OF OUR CARS ARE SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. PLEASE INSPECT THE VEHICLE YOURSELF. Caveat Emptor

Here we go again M3NTIL question was "where do I get Toyo's from?" How does your original post help? I thought the whole point of this forum was to try and help others out? Your post didn't really do that. Again I say, how about we just keep on topic and try and help fellow members out? If someone likes a certain brand tyre, let them like it. Perhaps their driving style is different, or their car is set up differently, and that particular brand works best for them. BTW Personal experience is by it's very nature subjective and NOT objective, but this is not the ideal area to start a debate up on that.
-
I was wondering when you were going to pipe up with views. However I did expect a lot more comprehensive post rather than just a pointless comment. Everybody has their own personal preferences when it comes to tyres and we all know yours Ron. Andy likes the Toyo tyres as do a number of others on here, so why not just respect his views?

NZ and Aus spec E46 M3 should run 225/40/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. The CSL version does run a 265/30R19. The internet can be a good and a bad thing with all the info (and misinformation) readily available. Luckily we have the correct books which tell us 100% what the size should be. M3NTIL - I have sent you a pm re pricing etc cheers Johno Mag & Tyre Direct

As was also mentioned above BMW NZ bought all the BMW### plates and put them on new cars, so the new owners probably didn't get much choice I have the plate 2TMPTN sitting in a cupboard at home. I bought it when plates were $400. I have really only put it on a couple of cars but don't think my current ones are worthy of the plate!
-
We have them I will have a look at work tomorrow and see what is currently available. Is this for the E46 M3? What size rear wheels are you running? If it is for the M3 then they are slightly too small.

cracked/split intake pipe/boot?

Glenn I wasn't implying that I have problems with Bimmersport members, in fact I am pretty lucky that 99% of the people I have dealt with on here have been really great to deal with and I appreciate their business. My comment was more aimed at the general public. The biggest issue I have is people continually EXPECTING to get a bigger discount or something cheaper than we have quoted, even though we are already the best price around. (again not aimed at Bimmersport members)
