  1. I don't get you...

Someone has to say it so I will try diplomatically...

    REAR = Behind you

RARE = Not a lot around, very few....

Don't you go to uni too?? When I was there, if you spelt things incorrectly or got the wrong context you automatically got a marking downgrade.

you get the jst of it

  2. None. Would suck if everyone could have basket weaves!!

Im happy to lend mine for prototyping If I can borrow a set of Alpina’s Jono

Thanks for the offer Graham - very kind of you :D

Unfortunately the mold is almost ready to go so all the tooling has been done!

  3. no idea if this practical...

get them in the cheapest option, then do a deal with a local painter and have a fee for painting the wheels to the customers choice...

haha - not practical at all!! painting is approx $5 overseas whereas it is almost $100 per wheel here!!We will probably end up bringing in a couple of colours I think.

  4. Hi all

Hey, I am due for new tyres all round before next WOF. Car has Michie Pilots on at moment.

I'd value advice about what options I should consider.

Whilst we don't race then car, we enjoy punting it along - and do a lot of travel over the Para Paras (Wanganui - Taumarunui)

    16 inch - 225/55 is the size

    Thanks all

    Regards

    Ray

    Hi Ray

What are you looking for in a tyre? Is performance your biggest prerequisite? Or Longevity? etc

If you want a good all round tyre the Bridgestone RE001 Adrenaline is a very good option.

The other tyre I would consider is the new Goodyear Excellence.

Both options are class leading tyres

    cheers

    Jono

  5. Hi everyone

We are looking at getting some 15x7 Basketweaves made. they will be 4x100 and probably a 20ET.

I am wondering what everyone's thoughts are on colours and what colours you would like to see available.

The wheels are primarily for the E30 race class, but will be available to anyone.

Please do not post any comments about different sizes or widths, I am only interested in genuine feedback.

EDIT: have added offset question too.

    Cheers

    Jono

  6. I have to agree with CamB on this one.

Ive sat back and watched this topic for the last couple days and to be honest found it interesting how many people on here condone this behaviour which is wreckless.

This is a public road and you put everyone else who use that road in danger by driving like that. If you happen to make one mistake its all over! If it was a road not used by the public I say go for it because if you cock it up, its only you who's going to get hurt!

TBO you aint no Ari Vatanen, and those driving skills are erratic to say the least.

    Keep it for the track.

I have been doing exactly the same thing 3 series. I too am amazed that people condone this sort of behaviour. I am doubly surprised that a moderator and an admin person have even made comments semi condoning it. I am a keen cyclist as well and have raced MTB nationally in the past, but I know that a 30kg pice of metal with 2 tyres is way different to a 1000kg hunk with 4 wheels!

Henry - good on ya for wanting to put your car through it's paces but please keep it on the track!

  7. make sure you lie them flat and it is probably best to try and keep some air in them if they atre on the rims. Alternatively you could just take all the air out but you may have to get them rebalanced if and when you put them back on the car.

  8. Has anyone else here NOT experienced the recession? We are on track for a record month and have almost doubled last years July sales? On top of that we are up about 20% in sales for the calendar year compared to last year.

Last year was a pretty good year for us as well, but this year has just taken off........

  9. There are also new WOF laws in force that state the tyres MUST have the same speed rating and a Load Index of +/-2. As stated earlier, as long as you have matching pairs of directional or asymmetric tyres on the same axle you should be fine.

  10. Well have just found out.....the front calipers rub, it isn't the tyre on the strut. So my fronts have a nice machined inner lip now <_<

Nathan - sorry to hear that the don't fit properly but I DID say to you to take the car in to our shop to trial fit them first. Hopefully you can get it sorted. :)

  11. Kiaora,

Just wondering, is there any budget-ass ways to clean the black spots on my chrome dish and in the nooks and crannys? It's like a black rash/rust?

Someone may know, besides the point that no one really has chromes on here...apart from exhaust pipes.

    Cheers.

That "black stuff" is brake dust and there really is no way to get it off unfortunately. It is corrosive and actually eats into the chrome. I bet it has left little pit marks in the chrome. All you can really do is minimise its appearance now with a lot of elbow grease. Autosol tends to give the best results.

  12. Will pick some up tomorrow with a bit of luck, Johno, do I just say I am from bimmersport to get the discount down here?

The Borbets have left the building! Shoud be in Petone 2moro morning!

Say you are from Bimmersport, if they look at you blankly get them to call me. It pay pay to take your car in just to check brake clearance etc.
