yes, that is what I trying to achieve, sorry my wording was incorrect,
I will edit the original post now

If the wheels arent bent through the centre,( to badly )i should be able to fix them,i dont weld pieces in because you dont know if youve got a full penatration weld or not,so is filled with weld, after been straightened roughly, then final straighten and machined. How ever if they are bent through the centre ie,spokes bent sorry only good for a hose reel.Would estimate 280-300 for the bad ones.Brugar Engineering (Rod)
Hi Rod
Welcome to the forum. It is great to have a reputable wheel repairer on here that can offer their knowledge. Slightly off topic, but I heard through the grape vine that you can "add" to the back of a wheel to lower (just for Sam) the offset. Sorry for the highly technical term . Can you shed any more light on this?
cheers

^^^^ what he said!

what about these?? (waits for the haters )
Just put them on my own E36.
It all reallyy depends on the look you are trying to achieve. A dished wheel always looks smaller than a wheel with the spokes that go right to the end. I had 19's on my old E36 and they were just too big!! Looked awesome but really impractical. This time round I just went to 18's. We have heaps of wheels in stock, 18's start around $1600 for wheel and tyre packages.

I would hate to think of the cost involved in Imagine welding in new pieces and then smoothing straightening, heat treating etc
-
as SILVERFOX suggested it will almost definitely be locating rings. Make sure you have them sorted our first before you go checking bushes etc.
-
I can sort of understand why - it ensures that no one can copy the design, and I guess it gives him some sort of competitive advantage.
I have no problems with people expressing their opinions at all, in fact i think it should be encouraged. What I do have a problem with is the amount of hearsay that finds it's way onto and is written in this forum that is baseless and/or factually incorrect.
It's a bit like me calling you a foul name because someone said you were, even though I have never met you

I just talked to the importer and he does not disclose his spring rates to anybody.
Anyway I wasn't getting in to spring rate debates, the point of my original post was really concerning the inordinate amount of posts that have been surfacing on bimmersport recently that are factually baseless and almost bordering on libel.
-
which is it? The m-sport rate or the M3 rate?
Progressive rate springs will feel different to normal springs.
I really can't be bothered going into the full technical details about spring rates etc as it will be a very long winded post
My main point was really concerning the inordinate amount of posts that have been surfacing on bimmersport recently that are factually baseless and almost bordering on libel.

^^^^ exactly what he said!!

Are you sure mate? (I'm not meaning to be annoying) Brugar engineering.
did you see the BIG CHUNKS out of the wheels?
maybe they can be fixed but the cost wouldn't be worth it, it would be cheaper to buy new wheels.
-
Hey just wondering if anyone knows if this kinda damage is fixable?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...amp;permanent=0
And if these could be re-drilled to 5x120..
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=215586304
Just after some cheap 19s to flog my e46 of with
Definitely NOT fixable.
Redrilling is generally about $10-$20 a hole. It probably can't be done as the wheels are multifit and also have a centrecap. I would say the bolts to hold the centrecap on may prevent them from being redrileld to a larger pcd.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Jamex's are softer than M-sport.
Tested them side by side have you?
Why do people continue to make comments like this without having the proof to back them up?

these at a good price, could be fixed up with a nice polish look, then drop it back to normal hight with cert.
Will look dope!!
I have those available in 18" and 19"

zenetti, do you stock the exact same Beyern wheels?
The Bayern wheels are now a discontinued item and no longer available unfortunately. I have similar wheels in stock, both BBS style, staggered fit and M5 wheels as options. Also have plenty of other aftermarket styles in stock. Check out our website if you like, it has plenty of demo photos on it.
cheers

I think The M5 or the AC Schnitzer body kit would complement the Beyern Multi's very nicely.
M5 bodykits in stock $800 to bimmersport members!!!!! 19" wheels in stock from $999!!

I have not done my homework properly and purchased a head unit to change the japan radio to a NZ one. I was assured that the brought one was a NZ one. Also it was a model after 2000. my car is a 2000 so I though that I would have a take out old and fit new to remedy the problem with the frequencies. but no that is not the case plugs are differant. Can anyone help with what I can do now. Here are the photos of the plugs on my car and the radio taken out and the one to fit. The radio in the last photos was the intended new one.
I thought most 2000+ models have the world mode tuner in them??????

BUMP - more sizes added

*waits for 3pedals to chime in here* and completely disagree
BTW Bravo, the Sport Maxx are 205/45/17 not 205/40/17.
-
I haven't directly compared them back to back, but as an educated guess I would say the Sport Maxx will be the better tyre of the two. However you can't go past the Bridgestones at this price!

Which Potenza's?
quick question for wheel gurus

The wheels probably won't fit onto the 300e. From memory the widest you can go at the front is an 8" wide wheel. We had an 8" wide wheel on at 35 and it really wasn't suitable as it just stuck out past the guards at the front. Those series Mercs have a really high offset compared to most later model c and e class. Of course someone is going to chime in next and say roll, bash, flare the gaurds etc
Anyway, tyre wise, probably a 225/35 and 255/30 is the correct combination.
