in the q&a, the trader reckons "the battery was changed which resulted in loss of Kms from memory"
really?

sold! pm'd$45 no one?

Yes... yes, they do!!Will beat Holden clubsport 185i on the open road

Brent, you say it's got a close ratio top gear. Mine is doing about 2700rpm at 100, is that similar to what this car is doing?
-
One thing I do think could be an issue is the potential in the future to implement the same system in the UK where a machine vision system mounted in the nose of the car "reads" the plates. It would become more difficult to design the system if the were a number of different formats. But it could be done.
This system is being tested in NZ. They started in Auckland a few years ago, but havn't heard anything more since.

Does our government add tax to tyres? Import duties, whatever they call it.
It just strikes me that subsidising (or removing the tax from) good quality, good performing tyres would be cheaper (and more sensible) than tipping money into ACC to fix all the people hurt by crashes caused/contributed to by crap tyres.
What would the road toll do if every man jack had a set of RE11s....
-
proma MBL-8 might be the ticket

Had a wheelie bad accident, ayeOnly original parts = left hand switch block, bar ends, some of the loom.
Everything (yes, everything) is another bike.....

Red manual BMW's with f**ked paint = win!

Mr Dog and Lemon guide obviously makes for good copy, and The Herald being what it is, found his opinions just too good to resist...
-
I guess its a start.
However if the Gummint really wanted to lower the road toll, they'd make all drivers, not just the young ones, learn to drive.
My 2c is, our current licence only requires a knowledge of the rules, its not a test of anybodys competence behind the wheel

Brilliant, thanks guys. Are there extra fees related to the use of different currencies, or is that more to do with whoever I have my Visa with?
-
Excuse the ignorance, but are pellicanparts quite trustworthy? Its just I've never bought parts from overseas before
-
Thanks Sam, you're the man!
Love the smell of alliteration in the morning
-
Would buy one if I didn't have to wait 3 months....

Sam I've bought a manual 325 and I'm wondering what bits it came with originally, WBACB32020FA72921. Thanks in advance!

Jap Import (Sold to first kiwi owner by Tory European in Wellington)
119 km, automatic
Bilstein suspension, 17'' BBS RK001 rims, Dunlop Sport Maxx SP tyres
M3 bodykit, has the black lip. Normal mirrors.
New waterpump. No other work has been needed.
Has medkit and fire extinguisher (some people get excited about that)
DCH Motorsport in CHCH reckoned the rest of the suspension is Motorsport. Its pretty bloody stiff anyhow, and sticks to the road quite nicely
Faults: hood lining sagging severely.
one foglight broken. both removed to get a wof.
front lip looks tired. it's had a bit of a hard life, cars quite low.
some minor, pin prick dents. annoying, but not obvious until close up.
Why am I selling? Because I'm a dairy farmer, and it scrapes on my driveway, which annoys me. The final straw was getting bellied in the mud at Fieldays, that properly pissed me off.
Price: $5000 to a BS member.
Vehicle is listed on Tardme. Buy it! It looks pretty http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=389121137

Huh, I never even noticed that valve in there. One bonus with this mod- the car has one less faint little creak as the valve opens after the car's turned off
-
Speaking of which, where do I get a tube of urethane from?
My plans don't involve bits of red plastic, honest!
-
Hi Ray,
I need a RHS foglight to fit my E36 sedan. Do you have any in stock?
-
Awesome, thanks Glenn.
I'd want the vehicle to be shipped to the Waikato too, I'm picking it'd be a fair bit cheaper than flying down to pick it up at this time of year. Anyone have a rough idea of the cost for it being brought up?
-
Can anybody recommend a good mechanic in Chch who can inspect an E36 for me? Or are the only clued up people in the city the dealer?
Cheers all

There is a slight scale error (ie it's out by more kms at 100 than at 50) but I've more or less eliminated the constant error.
Ive heard of bikes being out by 25, 30kmh when at top speed, ie indicated 310 but radar only returns about 280
