  1. So, my 2010 (May 2010 build) E92 M3 Competition Pack (yes it says so in the build specs) doesn’t have an M button on the steering wheel. I was under the impression that all E92 M3’s had this feature. I was told by the seller of the car that the Competition Pack does not have this. I am not particularly concerned as there are far too many ways to configure the setup of this car anyway. Just curious as to what the go is. Any thoughts Ragtop? Or anybody else for that matter. Cheers
  2. Yes. Phone works perfectly with Bluetooth as a phone. Just can’t get the music to follow suit.
  3. Hi team. It’s been a long time but I’m back. Recently purchased my dream car - E92 M3 Competition Pack. I’ve been searching for two years and although this one didn’t quite tick all of the boxes - I didn’t want white but at least it’s not black - I live in Northland - it did tick most of the boxes and I’m very happy with it so far. 2010 with up graded combox which allows for Bluetooth music streaming. Now, I’m not a techno nerd but I’m kinda useful in the techno department but, I simply cannot get this thing to stream music from my phone. The previous owner could. I can play music via CD, by saving music to the hard drive, via USB from my phone, but not via Bluetooth. The previous owner had an iPhone X, I have an iPhone 5. Is that the problem or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any help forth coming. Edited 7 hours ago by shuey
  4. Before, after, and my very cool garage now. E39 M5 big brother upstairs with E92 M3 little brother downstairs.

  6. It’s been very quiet. I did 60,000 kms in it over four years, so it hasn’t done much since 2003 ish. Did the Targa Tour in it around 2000 from memory, that was 5000 kms in a week. 240 kmh along the Tauranga waterfront motorway was a real blast.
  7. Owned that car from new. Loved it to bits and probably should have kept it. Good to see prices on the up. Worth every penny and if I had $30K lying around I would probably reach out and do it again. Haven’t really owned anything since with the same Wow factor.
  8. As far as I am aware the cf bits are genuine as purchased from my good friend the late great Jason Richards. They certainly are not decals as I installed them. Why did I sell it? Well back in the day the SMG was known to be a tad fragile. While I had no issues with it I was always conscious that there could one day be an issue. That’s the only reason I sold it, oh and the fact that I happened to be at Pukekohe the very first time the Aussie V8’s were here and I got seriously seduced. I am led to believe that today all of those issues are either gone or easily fixed. This is a great car and if I had a couple of spare $$$ I would seriously consider buying it back.
  9. Well well well. There it is, my baby. I did 60,000 kms in this beauty in its first four years so it’s been pretty quiet since. Exhaust tips - Genuine AC Schnitzer purchased from the late great Jason Richards - sets the car apart from all others. Eyelids - personal preference I guess but looked the business 20 years ago. Carbon decals - ??? Genuine carbon fibre centre console purchased from JR again. Electric rear windows - these are a must as almost impossible unless you are a contortionist midget to open those rear windows. Genuine AC Schnitzer rear window spoiler, also purchased from JR - at least you got that right. This car was/is the sh*t! Loved every minute of the four years I owned it Has been very quiet since then though. 36 minutes Whangarei to Warkworth and 2 hours 29 minutes Whangarei to Tirau back in the day. Superb machine. 10 litres per 100 kms at 160 kmh. Very very tempted. You never know. Shuey.
  10. We are looking at two different cars then. Sorry, my mistake. The one I'm looking at is an E90 Sedan.
  11. Not sure where you got your VIN number from, this is from Carjam - VIN WBSPM92000E197607 And this info is off the original build sheet - Type Code PM92 E Series E90 (M3) Series 3 Type LIM Steering RL Doors 4 Engine S65 Displacement 4.00 Power 309 Drive HECK Transmission MECH Colour SILVERSTONE II METALLIC (A29) Upholstery LEDER NOVILLO/H1 PALLADIUMSILBER (NCH1) Prod. Date 2008-10-01
  12. Original buildsheet states Silverstone.
  13. Why would you cover Silverstone with Auckland Black wrap? Unless you're trying to hide something maybe.

    E90/92 M3

Saw that. $10K over priced. Asked a couple of questions that I didn't get satisfactory answers to. Nice car though.

    E90/92 M3

Hey Ragtop. Sick of Boring Black, Wearisome White, Gloomy Grey and Soulless Silver. Still looking, no panic. But there must be something out there. There is a nice 2013 on Trademe at the moment but can't quite get to that level just yet.
  19. Are there any E90 / 92 M3's in NZ that aren't Black,White, Silver or Grey?
  20. Only admitted he was wrong after me and another gave him some helpful advice on his Trademe listing though. The really sad part about this is sometimes it's a bloody dealer advertising a car as an M3. I have had more than a few emails telling me to mind my own business after pointing out their errors.
  21. Haha. I bet it's yours. I was thinking more E90 Sedan 6M. I know of a couple of E30 race cars for sale should you decide you would like to come along and play on the track. As a new racer you would be well looked after and not picked on or targeted at all by the old school racers.
  22. All good brother. Perhaps you are right about the knowledge. I guess my beef was with people I don't know and who don't know me discussing something publicly they don't know and I do without my knowledge or permission. As far as my TradeMe comments go, TradeMe is a place that brings all sorts of wannabe hopefuls out of the woodwork. For example, I had a prospective purchaser view the vehicle, then promise me he would call me (soon I think was the word he used) - still waiting! So I treat everybody on that media with trepidation and scepticism. Fortunately there is always a diamond in the rough. I hope that my sale, at asking price, has boosted the value of the M3's that you and your friends own. See you trackside one day? PS. There will be another M3 for me one day. You never know I may come looking for advice on which one that should be.
  23. No chips on my shoulder bud, in fact quite the opposite. Just seems to me to be a hell of a lot of people out there who think they know stuff about things they have no idea about, including a market value that can only be determined by one, well two things really. A willing buyer and a willing seller. My sale proves that I did not make any false claims in my Trade Me listing and that a genuine buyer saw my M3 for what it is. I see you lot have moved onto a new subject now, the E30 M3 Sport EVO. If the seller thinks its worth whatever he's asking for it and he finds a willing buyer to pay that amount, then I say good luck to him.
